For YEAR 7 FRENSHAM means...... beautiful gardens, kind people, excellent teachers and a great buddy system... a sport system that everyone is involved in ~ focused on fair play and teamwork (with plenty of competition during games)... a place that inspires and encourages and helps you to fulfil your dreams while having fun on the way... fun, historic and friendly... Friday night games... receiving parcels from home... mixing with older years... having your own personal space and bed at School WHAT FRENSHAM MEANS TO US...... learning to be patient YEAR 7 What Frensham means to us...... learning responsibility... lots of things to do in your spare time... good education... home away from home...... there is a great sense of a closely-connected community AND... Boarding at FRENSHAM is special because...... everyone has an opportunity to share their talents ~ everyone is supporting you... it is a place where everyone can be themselves and I don t have to act differently to be included... here we look out for each other... you get to know a lot about your friends... other boarders understand and appreciate your need for time and space... small classes G...... being all girls YEAR 9 Special things about boarding...... singing as a whole school every morning... Milo... respect... laughter... there s always someone to talk to or to help, you are never alone...... the Jamieson Programme ~ going to the Nan Tien Temple, participating in the Harmony Day concert and going Caving in Term 3...
As YEAR 12 comes to a close...... Although I am ready to leave school, I am also sad... My friends here will be with me for life and friendships are never restricted to year groups... We have really amazing teachers who give us as much help as we need, both during and after School YEAR 12 What I will always remember... What I will always remember...... You know it s spring when there is a group of ducklings on the Red Bridge... I always made time to walk around the Centenary Trail before school at least once a week; it was worth it... the smell of the wisteria on the way to the dining room... setting up for Sport in the mist on the Games Field early on Saturday mornings... lying on the front lawn on my last Saturday night at Frensham with girls I have known for six years, singing and marvelling at the bright moon that outshone the stars... knowing you can say hello to everyone by name - teachers and girls...... my favourite memories will be of skit nights, dress-up dinners, concerts, camps, discos, birthday waffles, Sunday big breakfast, 40 years on, socials, full School cops and robbers, Carols by Candlelight, Birthday lunch, Christmas lunch, Bush Dance, Father-Daughter Ball, Iris Country Fair, Girls vs Teachers softball, netball and hockey matches, singing with the whole school every morning... the list goes on... WHAT I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER...
