THE MAIN LODGE Dating from 1905, the main lodge was originally built as a summer retreat for managers of Canada s largest lumber camp in nearby Britt. THE LOCATION One hour from Toronto by float plane or three hours by car via Hwy#400/Trans Canada land Bigwood is just 10 minutes by boat from the local Britt marina. The channel is wide and deep ensuring safe passage in any weather and a low lying island to the north west creates a natural, sheltered harbour. THE AREA The Little Britt Inn located via a 10 minute boat ride is a great choice for dining out and accommodation for overflow guests. Local guides are available for fishing outings for various game fish - bass, pickerel, salmon, and muskellunge and for the classic Georgian Bay shore lunches.
