Bids will be received until 4:00 P.M. (Pacific Time), WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2018 at Ventura County Procurement Services, Hall of Administration (Lower Plaza, GSA), Government Center, 800 South Victoria Avenue, L#1080, Ventura, CA 93009. Sealed bids must be submitted on the County's form to Ventura County Purchasing Agent. Bids may not be returned by fax machine or e-mail. If needed, the County of Ventura will issue addenda to make changes, additions, or deletions to this Notice of Sale. The addenda will be posted on our website at: http://www.ventura.org/gsa/procurement-services/surplus-sales It is the responsibility of bidders to check our website and to acknowledge and return all addenda on or before the bid deadline. All bids of firms must be signed with the firm's name and by an authorized officer or employee. Obligations assumed by such signature must be fulfilled. The "Buyer" as referred to herein is the "successful bidder." The "Seller" as referred to herein is the "County of Ventura." All items will be sold AS IS, WHERE IS; no warranty, express or implied, is offered (including no guarantee of mechanical condition, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for any purpose). Any and all costs for transportation, handling, loading, inspection, removal, etc. are the responsibility of the Buyer, at the Buyer's sole cost and expense. The Buyer shall assume full responsibility and all liability associated with the removal of items bought and will hold the Seller, its officers, agents, servants and employees, harmless from liability of any nature, or kind, in regard to this sale. Sales Tax Unless otherwise definitely specified, the prices quoted are net to the Seller and do not include California Sales Taxes. If property bought is not for resale, 7.25% California Sales Tax will be added to bid prices. Sales tax must be paid to Seller unless the Buyer provides a California Resale Certificate (Form No. BOE-230, 7/02). If the Buyer is outside of California and arranges for shipment by common carrier, sales tax will not be charged. All items must be paid for and picked up within ten calendar days of bid opening or notification of award; otherwise bid may become invalid. Payment may be made by company check (payable in U.S. dollars) or wire transfer. Unless funds are submitted via a wire transfer, there will be a delay in the Buyer taking possession of the items(s) until the company check is cleared through the bank. All sales are final. Refunds or adjustments will not be made. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in a bid.
