Attachment to Regulation No. 49/2016 of the PUEB Rector dated 30 August 2016 Regulations applicable at the dormitories of the Poznań University of Economics and Business 1 General provisions 1. The dormitory constitutes an inseparable part of the University. It is a place of residence, education and rest for residents entitled to it. 2. At the dormitory a Council of Residents operates and it represents the residents of the PUEB dormitories. It is entitled to submit applications and projects concerning improvement of conditions at the dormitories to the dormitory administration. 3. The order regulations of the dormitories concern all residents, including students/phd students of other universities and people who are not students/phd students, residing at the dormitories of the Poznań University of Economics and Business. 4. The Regulations are evaluated by the chairman of the Students Parliament after establishing his/her position earlier with the chairmen of the Council of Residents of the dormitories, and by the chairman of the Council of PhD Students. 5. The University shall not be liable for lost and damaged belongings brought to the dormitory by the residents, unless the loss occurred by fault of people for whom the University is responsible. 2 Fees 1. Down payment: 1) A candidate for a resident of the dormitory shall pay a down payment in the amount of 100,00 PLN within 7 days from the day when the Division of Student Affairs announces the reservation list for the coming academic year. 2) The down payment shall be paid to the bank account: a) into an individual bank account established for the fees for the dormitory concerning candidates for the studies and students/phd students of the PUEB residing at the dormitories for the first time, b) indicated in the current or last concluded agreement determining the conditions of accommodation for students/phd students of the PUEB at the dormitories. 3) The down payment shall be included in the fee for the first month of the agreement regarding accommodation in the new academic year. 4) The down payment shall not be returned if the place is not taken by the Student/PhD Student. 5) The down payment applies to all students/phd students, apart from: a) students undertaking studies within students exchange programs and agreements between universities, b) foreigners referred to the dormitories by the Center for Studies in English, c) students to whom the University is obliged to ensure accommodation based on particular provisions of law (Bureau for Academic Recognition and International Exchange). 2. Deposit: 1) The resident is obliged to pay a deposit in order to secure receivables of the University, in particular respectively:

a) to cover the costs of removing damages in the room or another facility of the dormitory or their equipment, which do not result from ordinary use, b) due to failing to hand over the room in the state of proper cleanliness, c) due to unpaid fees for accommodation or interest for delays in payments. 2) The deposit should be paid into the bank account: a) specified in the agreement determining the accommodation conditions within 5 calendar days from the day of checking in indicated in the agreement if the person is a student or PhD student of the PUEB, b) indicated by the dormitory administration, before taking the place in the dormitory, if the person does not have the status of a student or PhD student of the PUEB. 3) The deposit is interest-free. 4) The deposit will be returned no sooner than after termination of the agreement, handing over the room and potential deduction of receivables for damages caused by the resident or for thorough cleaning of the used facilities. 5) The deposit is returned within no longer than a month from the day of submitting a written application and specifying the bank account number to which the deposit should be returned. 6) The deposit is collected also in the case of renting clubs. Detailed principles of collecting and returning the deposit are specified in 7 sec. 7, 8, 9 and 10. 3. Fees for the accommodation: 1) In the case of the written agreement for accommodation: a) the resident shall pay the fee in advance no later than by the 20th day of a given month in the amount and to the bank account specified in the agreement, and in the case of entering into the agreement after the 15th day of a given month, the resident shall pay the first fee no later than by the end of the first calendar month of the agreement. b) the free for the accommodation for periods shorter than a complete month shall be calculated according to the formula below: monthly fee indicated in the agreement fee = --------------------------------------------------------------- x number of days of accommodation 30 c) for taking the place after termination of the agreement, the resident shall pay a daily fee for each day of delay in leaving the place, d) in the case of settlement of arrears, the payment shall be counted towards the oldest arrears. 2) In the case of short-term stay or a one-night stay of a guest, the resident shall pay a fee in advance to the bank account of a given dormitory before using the above specified service. 4. Interest The University charges statutory interest for delays in payments for the accommodation. The interest for delays shall be paid by the resident together with the payment of the main fee the interest concerns. 5. The amount of the down payment, deposit and fees for the accommodation is determined by the regulation of the Rector concerning fees for accommodation at the PUEB dormitories. The payment day is the day when the payment is accounted on the bank account specified in sec. 1 subsection 2), sec. 2 subsection 2), sec. 3 subsection 1) letter 1, sec. 3 subsection 2) of this paragraph. 3 Acquisition of the right to accommodation 1. The resident acquires the right to: a) long-term accommodation after entering into a written agreement with the University determining the conditions of accommodation and registering in the registration book, or

b) short-term accommodation after payment of the fee for the entire period of stay and registering in the registration book. The content of sec. 1 does not violate the provisions of 7 of the Regulations concerning material support for students of I and II degree studies of the Poznań University of Economic and Business and 7 of the Regulations concerning material support for PhD students of the Poznań University of Economic and Business, regulating the principles and mode of assigning places at the PUEB dormitories to students or PhD students. 2. The written agreement determining the accommodation conditions at the dormitory is concluded if the individual period of staying at the dormitory exceeds 7 days. The agreement template determining the accommodation conditions for people who are not students of the PUEB as well as students of the PUEB is included in attachment no. 1 and attachment no. 2 to these Regulations. 3. The resident who wish to stay at the dormitory for a short period of time can check in at 12:00 on the day of the beginning of the stay and they shall check out by 11:00 on the last day of their stay. 4. The resident can stay at the dormitory in the following periods: - five days before the start of didactic or countervailing classes for the first year of studies (or other obligatory classes), - up to three days after the end of the summer examination session. The above periods are established in accordance with the schedule of a given academic year approved by the competent authorities of the PUEB. 5. It is also possible to stay at the dormitory in other periods other than those indicated in sec. 4 of this paragraph, if the dormitory has sufficient places available. Acquisition of the right to accommodation at the dormitory shall take place according to principles determined in sec. 1 of this paragraph. 6. In the period of summer holidays due to organizational reasons, the dormitory administration is entitled to change the assigned place for another one with the same standard. 4 Loss of the right to accommodation 1. The resident loses their right to accommodation at the dormitory in the case of: a) termination of the agreement period, b) losing the status of a student/phd student, c) delays in part or entire payment of two monthly fees for their accommodation, d) giving their place up at the dormitory to another person, e) violation of obligations specified in these Regulations, in particular obligations indicated in 6 sec. 1 and 3, f) failing to change accommodation to another one indicated by the dormitory administration referred to in 6 sec. 2, g) failing to pay the deposit within the determined period of time. 2. In the case of losing the right to reside at the dormitory due to reasons listed in this paragraph: a) in sec. 1, letter a the agreement is terminated on the following day after it expires, b) in sec. 1, letter b the agreement is terminated on the day when the student/phd student loses their status of a student/phd student, c) in sec. 1, letter c the agreement is terminated due to arrears resulting from failing to pay two fees (on the 21st day of the second month for which payment has not been made), d) in sec. 1, letter d the agreement is terminated on the following day after it is stated that the place assigned to one student/phd student at the dormitory was given up to another person, e) in sec. 1, letter. e the agreement is terminated on the following day after it is stated that obligations specified in these Regulations have been violated, f) in sec. 1, letter f the agreement is terminated on the following day after the day set for the resident by the dormitory administration to change accommodation for another accommodation,

g) in sec. 1, letter g the agreement is terminated on the first calendar day after the deadline to pay the deposit in the case of students of the PUEB and on the day of checking in determined in the agreement concluded with a person who does not have the status of a student/phd student of the PUEB. 3. The head of the dormitory shall notify the resident in writing about circumstances constituting the cause of terminating the agreement before its expiry in cases referred to in sec. 1 letter d, e and f of this paragraph. If the situation concerns a student of the PUEB, the letter requires approval of the competent vice-rector for student affairs, and if the situation concerns foreign students or PUEB PhD students, the letter shall be approved by the competent vice-rector for PhD student affairs. The place of effective service of the notice is the dormitory, regarding which the agreement was concluded with the resident. 4. If the resident refuses to confirm receipt of the letter, the letter is considered to be delivered when the letter is delivered to the room of the resident by an employee of the University with a member of the Council of Residents of a given dormitory or a representative of the Students Parliament of the PUEB. The date of delivering the letter with the signature of the assisting students shall be placed on the copy of the letter. 5. The resident may try to enter into another agreement with the University for another period in the same academic year, except for situations when the previous agreement was terminated due to reasons specified in sec. 1, letter d, e or f of this paragraph. 6. The resident is obliged to check out within the following period at the latest: a) 7 days from termination of the agreement, if causes of the termination were premises listed in sec. 1, letter a, b, c, g of this paragraph, b) 3 working days after receiving the notification about termination of the agreement if causes for the termination were premises listed in sec. 1, letter d, e, f of this paragraph. After termination of the above specified period (in sec. a or b) the resident shall be forcefully evicted collectively by the head of the dormitory with a representative of the Council of Residents. 7. In the case of accommodation in the period which does not require any agreement, fees like in the case of short-term stay apply, in the amount specified in the regulation of the PUEB Rector concerning fees for accommodation at the PUEB dormitories. If termination of the agreement occurred as a result of losing the status of a student/phd student, a fee applicable for people who do not have the status of a student/phd student will be charged for accommodation in the period does not require any agreement. 5 Rights of the resident 1. The resident of the dormitory is entitled to: a) use all facilities and devices of the dormitory intended for common usage; b) have guests in their room under conditions established with their roommates, free of charge from 8:00 to 1:00; while upon a written application submitted to the head of the dormitory and upon written consent of the roommates, the student/phd student can have one person for the entire night for a fee specified in the regulation of the rector concerning fees for accommodation at the PUEB dormitories. The guest shall present their ID with a picture at the reception of the dormitory so that their full name can be included in the Register of Guests. The guest staying at the dormitory shall follow the provisions of these Regulations; c) provide any comments, conclusions and opinions regarding functioning of the dormitory to the head of the dormitory and the Council of Residents. 2. The resident has the right to give up their place at the dormitory during the period of the agreement. Giving up the place at the dormitory requires written form. The letter concerning resignation from their place at the dormitory shall be submitted to the head of the dormitory or a person replacing them (against confirmation of receipt) 7 calendar days before resigning from the place and termination of this agreement.

6 Obligations of the resident 1. The resident of the dormitory is obliged to: a) follow the rules of social coexistence, b) follow the OHS provisions, as well as fire protection and sanitation provisions, c) respect the property of the dormitory residents shall be materially responsible for all losses and damages to devices and equipment of the dormitory unless another perpetrator of the damage is established. The amount/value of the damage and the person responsible shall be appointed by the dormitory administrator with the Council of Residents. For damages occurring in the room of the dormitory residents of the room shall be liable equally, unless another perpetrator of the damage is established; d) present their documentation upon request of the concierge and administration employees; e) notify the head of the dormitory, directly or by entering comments in the notebook of faults about all noticed damages to the dormitory equipment; f) make sure that during absence of the residents, windows of the room are closed, and the entrance door to the room (residential segment) are locked; g) strictly comply with quiet hours from 22:00-6:00; sound equipment, audio-visual equipment or musical instruments can be heard only in the user s room regardless of the time of day; h) maintain cleanliness and order in residential rooms and common usage facilities; i) rational and economic use of utilities in accordance with principles of environmental protection; j) when leaving the dormitory: return the equipment, make all payments and present the payment confirmation upon request of the administration, ensure cleanliness of the place and associated facilities, sign the hand-over report, return the key to the administration or the concierge. 2. The resident is obliged to change rooms after receiving the notification about it from the dormitory administration with 7-day notice. The need to change rooms may result from important reasons: necessity to perform renovation works, disinfection, pest control, annual general cleaning or for other important organizational reasons. 3. At the dormitory it is not allowed to: a) bring and consume alcohol as well as take intoxicants, b) smoke in all facilities and passageways of the dormitory, including the rooms, c) organize gambling games, d) modify the locks and duplicate keys, e) install, modify or repair any technical installations, f) move furniture or destroy walls through drilling, sticking posters, painting, g) taking the dormitory s equipment outside the dormitory, h) dry the laundry outside the drying rooms, i.e. in the rooms, students bathrooms and corridors, i) leaving rubbish out in the corridors or in the kitchen, j) leaving dishes in the kitchen, k) having guests outside the visiting hours who are not authorized residents of the dormitory, l) use additional electric heaters and other devices with high power consumption. 7 Meetings and parties 1. Principles of organizing meetings, parties and gatherings in the clubs of the PUEB dormitories apply to:

Rafa at the Atol dormitory, Koga at the Dewizka dormitory, Syndykat at the Feniks dormitory. 2. The number of participants of a meeting, party or gathering cannot exceed: a) at the Rafa club 53 people, b) at the Koga club 70 people, c) at the Syndykat club 90 people. 3. A meeting or a party at the club can be organized by the residents of a given dormitory being students/ PhD students of the PUEB or through them and at their responsibility students/phd students of the University residing outside the dormitory. 4. At the club gatherings of the University students organizations and Student Interest Groups can be organized. 5. The vice-rector for student affairs decides about making a given club available for the meeting/party after consulting it with the head of the dormitory. 6. An application regarding a given club should be submitted to the head of the dormitory no later than 3 working days before the planned event. The letter shall include: date and duration of the event, as well as its nature, names of the participants, obligation to follow the ban on bringing, selling and consuming alcohol and intoxicants as well as smoking, obligation to clean and order the venue, the surrounding as well as the toilets directly after the end of the event; obligation to follow the quiet hours by the participants of the events also after leaving the club, declaration that the organizer knows the principles of organizing events specified in these Regulations and agrees that the deposit will be kept if the principles are violated. 7. The organizer shall pay a deposit in order to secure receivable of the University, in particular: to remove damages to the equipment and infrastructure of the dormitory, to ensure proper order and cleanliness of the dormitory and its surroundings. 8. Violating quiet hours by the participants of the events and the ban on consuming alcohol or smoking results in refusal to make the club available to the organizer in a given academic year. 9. The deposit in the amount of 200.00 PLN shall be paid to the head of the dormitory. The PUEB students organizations, if they have funs within the fund for social and cultural activities of students, which can constitute the deposit, do not have to make the payment the confirmation is issued by the Division of Student Affairs. 10. If any material damages are caused in the facilities made available or in the surrounding of the club, apart from the deposit, the organizer shall cover the losses in the full amount if they exceed the amount of the deposit. 11. For the venue for the meeting/party, the organized shall pay 100.00 PLN (including 18.70 PLN VAT) to the bank account of the dormitory. The venue will be made available based on the payment confirmation. 12. Organizers of gatherings, referred to in sec. 4 of this paragraph, shall not be charged any deposit or fee for the venue, if the gathering will take place from 8:00 to 18:00. 13. The application for the venue shall be submitted to the head of the dormitory to obtain consent. Organizers and participants of the gathering shall follow all order provisions applicable at the dormitory. The application template constitutes attachment no. 3 to these Regulations. 14. Gatherings taking place after 18:00 are conducted at the dormitory in accordance with the conditions specified in sec. 5-11 and sec. 13 of this paragraph.

8 Final provisions As of 31 August 2016 the following regulations shall expire: 1. Regulation no. 65/2014 of the Rector of the PUEB dated 21 October 2014 on introducing the Regulations for dormitories of the Poznań University of Economics and Business with the template of the agreement specifying the accommodation conditions and 2. Regulation no. 53/2015 of the Rector of the PUEB dated 1 September 2015 on changes in Regulation no. 65/2014 of the Rector of the PUEB introducing the Regulations for dormitories of the Poznań University of Economics and Business and the template of the agreement specifying the accommodation conditions.
