Ripley s First Monday Trade Days & Flea Market Inc. Vendor s Information Mission: Guide Ripley's First Monday Trade Days and Flea Market is here to provide a safe, family oriented, inexpensive venue for craftsmen, artist, farmers, ranchers and all walks of life to gather once a month for the opportunity to present their goods and services to the Public. It's our mission to do this, along with making every effort to provide the general public an enjoyable and memorable shopping experience that is unique to Ripley and the entire Mid-South area. Ripley and Tippah County is a very friendly and welcoming place, having hosted the Trade Days for over 124 years. During that time, crowds of up to 70,000 people, over a single weekend show, have descended on the Ripley Trade Grounds just South of the city limits to explore the wonderfully diverse array of goods, services, and livestock on display. History: Originally started as a Community Sale and Trade Day on July 3rd, 1893 and was operated by the City of Ripley and originally located on the downtown square. In the early 50 s, the sale outgrew the space limitations of the downtown area and moved the waterworks plant located at the intersection of Hwy. 4 and Hwy. 15. By the late 1950 s the sale again outgrew the space limitations and was relocated to the Tippah County Fairgrounds where it remained until 1976.

During this time, the City chose to no longer operate the market as a city function. Wayne Windham had the property across Hwy. 15 and took steps to move the market to it s current location and setup the infrastructure to manage the parking, restrooms, camping and the relaxed, neighborly atmosphere of Buying, Selling and Trading with friends and neighbors. Market Overview: The Market is really identified by sections or categories of products. The General Sales Area is located on front (West) side of the market and makes up about 60% of the total selling area. The new and sporadic Yard Sale area is located in the center of the market just past the front gate entrance on rows 3 through 6 excluding the endcaps. We also have a sizable Poultry and Livestock area, just to the south of the Main Gate. The Dog Yard and is located across town creek on the east side of the market. Hispanic food and items are on the south side of the market close the front parking area. As you see on the map, we facilitate parking on three sides, making close access to the market possible. The Market operates on the Saturday and Sunday preceeding the 1st Monday of each month.
