The living room and kitchen are wide open onto the patinated wooden terrace, and each of the two bedrooms has a private terrace with a superb view over the ocean. Sumptuous and organic materials are used everywhere, such as the shimmering golden mosaic tiles in the bathrooms, which recall the iridescent sea creatures, and the clay sinks on their double vanities. Coloured walls in the living area and open kitchen, which are unusual in the vernacular island of St. Barth, enhance the warm feeling, connected to the nature of Flamands Bay Villa, leafy plants add life to many corners of the luxury rental property. This holiday home retains the feeling of an intimate retreat, a private escape for a single couple, two couples or a small family. It is modern and comfortable, attractive and welcoming, feeling up to date while paying homage to the colonial past of the islands. The living room, dining room and terrace fit into each other. The dining table is right in front of the infinity pool. The Flamands bay is visible from all points of view. The two ground floor bedrooms are about equal in size and have charming colonial details such as carved mahogany four-column royal European beds and louvered doors for privacy. Although the villa is very close to the beach of Flamands, which is only five minutes by car, it has the atmosphere of a world apart. A 4x4 car is highly recommended.
