Jean was born November 15, 1932 in Joplin, daughter of the late Kenneth M. Kelly and Elsie Danley Kelly. She was a health care provider in the Joplin area for several years working for Freeman and later Oxford Home Health Care. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, John Nivens who died July 28, 1979. Survivors include her nine children, Calvin Nivens and wife Vivian of Scotland, Missouri, Nancy Martin and husband Tom of Neosho, Linda McKee and husband Bob of Joplin, Kimmie Seigel and husband Kenny of Neosho, John Nivens of Neosho, Don Nivens and wife Nataliya of Seattle, Washington, Melody Nivens of Joplin, James Nivens and wife Nita of Neosho, Jeff Nivens of Joplin; a brother, Wayne Kelly and wife Ella of Purcell, Missouri; sister, JoAnn Osborn and husband Robert of Neosho; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
