FAED_Introduction The Faculty of Architecture and Environmental Design (FAED) was established towards the end of 2008 at Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), in Rwanda KIST is committed to public benefit, attained by the learning, teaching, research and promotion of Architecture, Creative Design, Construction Management and Estate
FAED_Introduction Through the Rwanda Ministry of Education, KIST is currently in the process of planning a new state of the art facility to house the FAED. Upon its completion, the FAED building will provide a modern home for the Faculty including; modern design studios; computer labs with space for over 75 new computers; modeling and fabrication workshops; seminar rooms; lecture halls; small library; public common spaces for pin-ups, exhibitions and displays.
FAED_Introduction The faculty currently offers undergraduate coursework in the built environment BUT has a vision to expand into offering graduate coursework, professional entry programs, professional development options and research programs.
