B2R and the Urban Land Institute ULI and Build to Rent context and background In 2014, the ULI United Kingdom s residential product council produced the first edition of Build to Rent: A Best Practice Guide. Such was the success of the Guide a more substantial second edition was published in March 2016. The second edition of the guide is widely acknowledged as being the seminal publication on Build to Rent in the UK. The concept of Build to Rent is as relevant in Ireland as it is in the UK. Much of the content in the UK Guide is directly relevant and transferable to Ireland. However, there are also substantial differences in market structure, legislative provisions, planning, design and building regulations between the UK and Ireland. Against this background ULI Ireland decided it would be informative and useful to produce a Build to Rent Guide for Ireland, as a supplement and companion to the UK guide. This guide is intended to be a resource for all stakeholders in the private, public and charitable/not for profit sectors. It also aims to raise awareness of the benefits and opportunity that the Build to Rent model offers.

What have we learnt from BIM on Pontoon Dock? What have we learned from BIM on Pontoon Dock? 1 Setup Templates and Libraries. 2. Keep checking your model in 3D! Use that 3D rotate tool! 3. Agree OS Base locations to INTERNAL ORIGIN. 4. Agree items in the BEP, items like dates for model exchange, BIM technical meetings. 5. Trial model exchanges to different BIM platforms before the agreed dates of model exchange. 6. Use a BIM communication tool BIMCollab, Revizto.
