Q: May I sublease my apartment if I am not utilizing the accommodations? A: No. The apartment assigned to you may not be assigned or sublet, or used for any unlawful or immoral purpose. Q: How does parking work? A: Please be sure to let us know if you are bringing a car/motorcycle/etc. We will provide you with the specific parking information for your assigned apartment community. Some communities tow if your vehicle does not have the proper parking permit visible. Honeywell will provide at least 1 parking space per unit, should you and your roommate both require a space, any additional costs would need to be split between you and the other intern. Q: Can I get a garage for my car/motorcycle? A: Some but not all of the apartment communities offer garages. Most communities offer some free parking but in designated areas watch for postings! Check with your apartment community to discuss your specific needs and what they have to offer. Any additional charges around transportation (including parking) would be the responsibility of the intern. Q: Are all of the utilities paid for: including water, phone, trash, electricity, internet and cable? A: Yes! Oakwood s rates are all-inclusive, with no additional fees for utilities. Q: What is included in the fully furnished apartment? A: Your apartment includes all furniture, housewares, utilities, local phone service, TV and basic cable television, and much more! Please view the Furnishings List for an extensive list of the included items. Q: Is a desk included in the apartment? A: Our typical set up does not include a desk but we can add a desk and chair in most locations for an additional charge to the intern.
Billing Q: Do I sign the lease agreement or does Honeywell? A: Each intern is required to sign a lease agreement. The rent is billed to Honeywell. However, your signature and credit card are required because any damages beyond normal wear and tear will be charged to you. There will be two separate echo sign links sent; one for the Guest Lease Agreement and a second link for the Paylease credit card/ach security. (Some communities may require a background check.) Your housing is covered by Honeywell. Your credit card or bank information is exclusively for damages or incidentals. In the event of damages your credit card will be charged for the damage + a 2.5% credit card transaction fee. ACH payments are not charged the credit card transaction fee. Q: Can you explain housing taxes to me A: Taxes will be withheld from each paycheck for the amount of your housing for which Honeywell pays. Because Honeywell is subsidizing your housing experience, tax law dictates this expenditure as a gift. The total amount of this gift will be added as a taxable income to your gross pay each pay period and will be subject to all applicable withholdings as dictated by both State and Federal Law. Taxable income is calculated per bedroom per night and if for any reason you occupy more than one bedroom, you will be responsible for the additional tax implications. You will not be asked for any additional deposit. For questions about housing tax implications contact Payroll One Stop 1.877.258.3699.
