Mr. Frank Delli~iss attended the meeting to discuss the present zoning on the Loyal Orange Lodge property on Maple Street. The property is presently zoned Rl. The Lodge is somewhat concerned because they rent the building to various organizations for meetings and to churches for church services. The lodge has a very small active membership and in order to meet the normal expenses of the building it is necessary that they rent it as they have been doing in the past. '-';':;' Nr. Robert Jones and nr. Keith Bryant attended the meeting to discuss with the Committee a proposal for a development on the watson property on Nanitoba Street. The proposal is to add one new building of 3,500 square feet. 2,500 square feet would be rented immediately to Sears catalogje store and the other 1,000 square feet would possibly be rented to a boutique at the present time. Simpsons-Sears would retain the right to rent the 1,000 square feet in ten years time if they wish to do so. The existing house and the small bungalow at the back would be renovated for small shops, boutiques or office space in the very near future" Planning and By-Law Accounts in the amount of $260.49 were approved for payment., CORRESPONDENCF: District Municipality of Nuskoka, a copy of a letter to the Ministry of Housing, advising that the Planning and Development Committee had passed the following resolution: "That the Planning and Development Committee recommends that a variance to the Interim Planning Policies be approved for the lands of Irene L. Item #284: Bailey - Russell Severance Mr. and Mrs. Russell advised they have tried to purchase additional acreage from Mr. Bailey who does not \>lant to sell it to them. The Co:m.rn.ittee have already indicated their willingness to approve the severance for the lot as it now exists since it is an existing situation. One of the trees on the side of the property would have to come down but it is not in good condition and would soon have to be taken down anyway. They propose to sever and sell the existing dwelling but in order to have the lot comply with the r10nck by-law, a balance of 60 feet frontage on District
Road No.4 would remain as access to the backland. Item #29/: Barks Bros. - 54 Shier Street BarLzs Bros. propose to divide the Kennedy house into two apartments. There is a double car garage on the property and parking can be provided for three or four cars. James Kaye is to take a look at the property and report back to the Committee. Item #293: Item #/'94: Laskey - Losee Property The Committee recommends the owner be advised the property is to be cleaned up or the Municipality may have to have the property cleaned up and bill the owner for the cost. A copy of the letter is to go to Mr. Laskey. The registration of the property is to be checked to determine the registered owner. Allen Rezoning A rezoning to Rural Residential Special for both the severed and retained parcels was approved. The application is to go back to the solicitor for Hr. Allen to be amended as he has verbally approved a Rural Residential Special zoning and amending the application.
