First Segment of Harbour Island Force Main City has initiated budget approval for design and construction of First Segment of the Harbour Island Force Main along Water Street Budget approval at mid-november City Council Meeting Designing exact alignment of Route on Water Street o 900 ft. segment from Franklin Street to Morgan Street Coordinating construction activities with Strategic Property Partners Construction of pipeline will not require closure of Franklin Street Timeline o Construction Start: Mid-December 2018

Plans for Old 54 Force Main Plan to abandon existing pipe has not been finalized Not practical to remove existing pipeline or fill with grout Pipe will be flushed with clean water to remove sewage and prevent corrosion Valves will be installed at the ends of pipeline to seal the pipe City has no intentions of using pipe in the future, but it could be used in an extreme emergency City will remain responsible for the pipe and will monitor its condition
Project Timeline Final Route recommendations to the City by mid-november 2018 First Segment of Harbour Island Force Main Replacement Installation to begin by mid-december 2018 A timeline for design, permitting and construction will be presented once a final route is selected
