RECOMMENDATION: To adopt Resolution No. 374 to amend City fees for 2010. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION BACKGROUND: Annually, the City Council reviews fees that have been established by resolution and considers any recommended changes, including new fees. This year, the Fire District has proposed no changes to their fees; the Parks and Recreation Department and Development Services submitted amendments to fees. Development Services has recommended amendments to their fee schedule to clarify and correct the fees that were established in prior resolutions. The amendments are housekeeping in nature and do not significantly change the fees. The changes are noted in Attachment B. The Parks and Recreation Department has recommended changes to some fees, with most of the changes incorporating new fees for field use on the new playing surface. Attachment C lists all fees, current and proposed. No other fee changes are recommended at this time. ALTERNATIVES: The Council may: 1. Adopt Resolution No. 374 as presented; 2. Amend and adopt Resolution No. 374; or 3. Take no action and ask the staff to return with additionai information. RECOMMENDED MOTION: I MOVE THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 374, ESTABLISHING A FEE SCHEDULE FOR 2010. WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish fees and charges for services by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council has supported as review of fees and charges to ensure that the fees and charges are appropriate for the service provided; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOODINVILLE, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Effective January 1, 2010, the Woodinville City Council hereby adopts the fees established by Resolution No. 374 as set forth in Attachment 1 ofthis resolution. Section 2. Severability/Savings. 'Any work done on fire sprinkler systems that involve adding or moving more than two sprinkler heads due to a deficiency that is noted on an annual fire sprinkler inspection will require a permit. The permit will be based on an hourly rate with a two hour minimum. CITY OF WOODINVILLE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES 2010 Fee Schedule Building Permit & Plan Review Fees Valuation The valuation listed on the application is an estimate of the fair market value of construction including all labor and materials and may not be the same valuation determined by the Building Officiai during review. The Building Official caiculates valuation using the most current edition of the Building Valuation Data (BVD) Square Foot Construction Costs Table published by the "Building Safety Journal", Woodinville's regionai modifier of 1.033, and gross square footage.
