CORPORATE OVERVIEW 2. Knight Frank in Poland Knight Frank Sp. z o.o. is the Polish subsidiary of the Knight Frank Group. We are one of the longest present international real estate teams in the country. We started up in 1991, as part of Price Waterhouse in Poland, and then became Price Waterhouse Nieruchomości, which in 1998 was acquired by the Knight Frank Group. Knight Frank is headquartered in Warsaw with 6 offices in regional cities, namely Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław (since 1998), Katowice (since 2004), Tricity and Łódź (since 2006). The company currently employs over 140 staff including professionals with Polish licenses for brokerage, property management and valuations as well as members of the Royal Institution of Charted Surveyors (RICS) and The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Asset Management Knight Frank is the market leader in providing Asset Management services on behalf of landlords relating to offices, mixed use office/retail, retail/leisure properties, logistics and property portfolios in Poland. Knight Frank works in a matrix-project structure. This means that for every project a team of experts and advisors is formed from different fields of expertise to enable a comprehensive approach to each project. All Asset Management assignments are tailor made to suit specific client requirements. In selected cases the Asset Management team can also manage the special purpose vehicle (SPV) in which a property or portfolio is held. 3.1.1. Property Management Knight Frank has been managing commercial properties in Poland since 1996, with the first being the headquarters of Price Waterhouse in Poland, a class-a office building in Warsaw. Currently Knight Frank manages in Poland some 2,000,000 sq m of modern commercial space. Our Property Managers formulate the property management strategies based on the landlords requirements. Such strategies are geared towards maximising the property value and investment returns.
