Glenroyd, Burnley Road, Todmorden The Barn was constructed in 1860 for John Greenwood. Standing within The Glen Estate, the barn is believed to have been utilised as a substantial coachhouse and stables for the estate and its owners. Testament to the quality of materials used in the construction, and indeed the techniques of the 19th century builders, the barn has stood as a strong and proud addition to the Calderdale landscape since completion in 1860. Redeveloping this historic local building represented an exciting opportunity for the Kitson House team. Our primary aim was to retain as many of the traditional architectural exterior features as possible, while creating Owing to the substantial dimensions of the property, we have created two symmetrical, 4 bedroom homes within the existing structure, each with a single story extension to the gable ends providing two light and airy dining rooms.

KITSON HOUSE at Glenroyd The Barn is the first property to be developed as part of our residential masterplan for Glenroyd, Burnley Road, Todmorden. The site is within easy reach of Todmorden town centre and the surrounding countryside. We will be building a small neighbourhood in this picturesque and friendly locality by providing characterful homes that complement the local landscape. Our mission is to create a community that will stand the test of time, provide a safe and happy place for families and individuals, and retain a feeling of green space and open air living. The site has great natural levels which have helped us to implement a phased approach to the development, allowing us to complete a series of new homes and build the community over next 4 years until final completion of 25 individual residences. If you would like more details on our masterplan, would like to discuss the phases, or wish to gain a better understanding of the homes we intend to build, please drop us a line at hello@kitsonhouse.com.

TODMORDEN Historic Family Oriented Market Town It s hard to know where to start in describing all that Todmorden has to offer! It is perfectly positioned for an active lifestyle, and is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists with The Calderdale Way providing a great way to get away from it all. The views from Stoodley Pike are quite stunning! Located just next to the sports centre (a fantastic facility with pool, sauna, steam room, gym, sports hall, tennis & fitness classes), Centre Vale Park provides a great space for families. With memorial gardens, pitch & putt, all weather 5-a-side football, crazy golf, under 12 s roadway and beautiful bowling greens, the everyday offerings are abundant. The town is well known for its Greek Revival Town Hall (built between 1866 and 1875) and likewise its historic market (we love the food market, and the flea market if you like an unusual bargain). There are also some real gems in the town centre, with unique shops and great cafes as featured in the Waitrose Good Food Guide 2017. The Kitson House team can personally recommend the following places: The Old Coop Cafe Bar, Site Pizzeria, Picture House Antiques, Blackbird The Bar and The Staff of Life Inn. If you are new to the area or considering a visit we will be very proud to show you around our town. Please let us know when you are coming. hello@kitsonhouse.com
