CV Gert B. Urhahn gert@spciti.org 45 Germany, Dutch nationality MSc Architecture and Urban Design Gert Urhahn is co-founder of SPcitI international. He is an urban designer, lecturer and former Director of Urhahn Urban Design. Gert has a broad international portfolio of projects in cities such as Amsterdam, London, Antwerp or Oaxaca. Previously, he was Senior Urban Designer for the Municipality of Amsterdam, strongly engaged in the redevelopment of the Amsterdam waterfronts. He has published extensively on regeneration strategies, urban typologies and principles and a book on The Spontaneous City. Currently he is chair of the International Federation for Housing and Planning (IFHP) Working Group The Spontaneous City. Bernardina Borra bernardina@spciti.org 76 Italy, Belgian/Italian nationality PhD, MArch Architecture and Urbanistics Bernardina Borra is co-founder of SPcitI international. Phd, architect and urban designer. After the diploma cum laude at the RomaTre School of Architecturein 2002, she attended the Postgraduate Master at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam (2002-2004). She worked for Urhahn Urban Design between 2006-2012 and concluded her PhD thesis in TUDelft (2011-) on The Architecture of Co-operation. She writes for different architectural magazines and is co-author and curator of several books and exhibitions. Her work as architect and urban designer, has led her through different paths in the Netherlands, Brazil, the UK and other international places.
