De Zuiderhof - Pavilion 2 De Zuiderhof Pavilion 2 is not only part of the most prestigious office location in the Netherlands - Zuidas in Amsterdam - but is also located in beautiful surroundings. A unique, free-standing and highly-original building set amidst water and greenery, where tranquillity and breathing space slowly melt away into the dynamism of Zuidas. The best of both worlds. THE BUILDING This pavilion, which was designed by Van Mourik Architects, oozes quality with its eye-catching natural stone frontage and characteristic copper bow. The materials used enable these pavilions to merge into the reeds and swamp vegetation along the water. The timber decks along the water have been laid out as terraces, but also cleverly conceal an underground car park. The pavilion is almost like a ship at anchor in the water of the Nieuwe Meer.
The immediate surroundings Pavilion 2 is part of the Zuiderhof office park located along the edge of Zuidas and which consists of the landmark ING House, the Zuiderhof I and II buildings and four freestanding office pavilions. This is where you ll find the sense of peace and spaciousness generated by the water of the Nieuwe Meer and the greenery of the Amsterdamse Bos, Amsterdam s only woodland, both just a stone s throw away. There are a number of restaurants in the immediate vicinity where you can enjoy a relaxed meal, while the dynamism of Zuidas with its excellent facilities is only just a little further away. ZUIDAS IN AMSTERDAM Zuidas is not just an international business centre, but also a residential area with a wide range of sports and educational opportunities, excellent care facilities, shops, restaurants and bars. It is home to more than 450 national and international companies. The continued development of Zuidas focuses on reinforcing its liveability, safety, accessibility and sustainability and also on preserving the upmarket status of the immediate surroundings (www.zuidas.nl).
