Programme/Programm Building bridges through education Fostering intercultural competencies in education, social service institutions and businesses Förderung interkultureller Kompetenzen in der Ausbildung, in Sozialen Einrichtungen und in der Wirtschaft 19 th 21 st November 2012 University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, School of Applied Health / Social Sciences, Linz, Austria www.fh-ooe.at/ic-conference2012

Welcome! Willkommen! Doubtless there is an increasing demand for interculturally competent people in education, social service institutions and businesses all over the world. Therefore, it is important to gain a better understanding of how people and organisations become interculturally competent. To reach this aim, the conference is organized around four major issues: >> How to foster intercultural competencies? >> What can schools and universities contribute? >> Which challenges do social service institutions face? >> What is the perspective of economy? We warmly welcome you in Linz to discuss these important questions from various perspectives with leading experts.
