ANNOUNCEMENT LETTER Manuel Couceiro da Costa / FAUTL Council Candidate / EAAE August 2015 Considering The great importance, value and international recognition of EAAE My recent experience as an EAAE Council Member (2013-2015), cooperating in the process, that is going on, for the reestruturation of EAAE goals and activities In particular, considering my role, as Chairman of the EAAE/ARCC International Conference Lisbon 2016, which will be hosted by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, duty that implies a strong connection, preferably an integration with the EAAE Council In this context, the re-thinking of architecture and of architectural education and their role, that must integrate a panoply of world wide points of view The interest and support of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, university that recently, under a process of fusion, became the largest Portuguese University (44.000 students), in participating in that process through my candidature My general and personal experience in those matters, as architect, teacher and / or researcher, mainly considering having been a former dean of the Faculty of Architecture, and the knowledge, the visiting and the direct and concrete collaboration with personalities and institutions from all the continents namely Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia and Oceania So Synthesizing all those aspects seeing and still considering having a consensual personality, I think my profile fits for a member and will be a good contribute for the Council of EAAE to be elected.
