The Hearth Room A Brief Overview Nestled behind the historic is the Hearth Room, a private banquet hall ideal for wedding receptions, business meetings, outdoor parties, family reunions, luncheons, seminars or any other special occasion. The Hearth Room s working fireplace gives it a homey atmosphere that is hard to match in a rental facility. Choose your own caterer or bring your own refreshments to create a perfect environment for your party. The spectacular Hearth Room may be rented seven days a week for the entire day. The Hearth Room will easily accommodate 100 guests. The Hearth Room is also handicap accessible and transforms well into either a formal or an informal environment. All of the Hearth Room s amenities are available for use. The 's front and back porches, herb garden, and courtyard make the grounds very functional for a variety of outside activities. The Hearth Room offers a sense of local and national history and it's a beautiful location that is perfect for your special gathering.
You Set the Scene at The Hearth Room Hearth Room Rental Guidelines 1. Rental procedures: Rental fees should be paid at least 90 days prior to the day of event and are secured with a signed contract. Security deposits due by the day of booking. 2. A security deposit of $250.00 is required. Renters are responsible for all damage costs above security deposit amount. Security deposits are returned the following week after rental. 3. Cancellations: In case of a cancellation, to receive a refund, a written cancellation must be received at least 90 days prior to the rental date. A $75 handling fee will be charged. Room Size & Planning The Hearth Room measures 33 feet in width by 45 feet in length (1575 sq. ft. of floor space) with a seating capacity for up to 100 people. The outside patio area measures 10 feet by 20 feet. There are many different ways the Hearth Room may be arranged for your event. Pictured below are few ways you might use the space. Dinner Setting 4. The renter may provide their own food or hire the caterer of their choice. They can provide their own beverages (including alcohol) as long as they do not resell. 5. Noise curfew of 11:00 pm must be honored. 6. All rentals terminate at midnight. 7. The Hearth Room is a smoke free building. 8. Decorations: No tape, tacks or nails are allowed on walls, doors and floors. Candles may be used on tables but must be a glass enclosure. Candles may not be used on the mantle. All proceeds go toward the maintenance and upkeep of the Hawken House Complex and providing educational programs in the local community.
