Page 2 of 5 Fireplace Gas - Propane Fireplace Wood This change has been made on the Residential Property PT 1/2 Feature & Data Input Form, and in the Matrix listing input module. Listing Agents are encouraged to check their current listings and adjust the fireplace options as appropriate. If you have any questions about this change, please contact REIN's Listings Department at 757-531-7902 or listings@reininc.com. New Construction Master Model Listings Please Use a Proper Address for Property to Map Correctly Often times, when using a Master Model listing for new construction, "additional" information is added to the address to try to identify the model name or lot number. For example: If the address is 1234 Main Street... Some listings show the address as The Waverly Model 1234 Main Street... Or Lot 25 1234 Main Street... This can be problematic when mapping the property. Even if you manually map the property in Matrix, that information might not make it to some third party websites that receive property information via a data feed (such as Zillow or HRMLS.com). Some third party websites do not use the mapping information from the MLS, rather they use the address to map the property themselves through either Bing or Google maps, or some other mapping program. When that happens, these programs cannot find "The Waverly Model 1234 Main Street" - because no such street exists on their map. It also hinders the ability to find properties on the Matrix Speed Bar. Our recommendation is to keep the address fields as pure and accurate as possible, and put any additional identifying information, such as the Model Name and Lot Number, in the Public and/or Agent Remark fields. This provides optimal conditions for your listing to be mapped correctly. New 1-Page Agent Report in Matrix You Asked... REIN Heard We have received an outstanding response to the recent release of the one-page consolidated report! In response to Agent feedback, we consulted with the User Group to create a robust agent report that can be printed on one page. This new "Residential Agent 1-Page Consolidated
Page 3 of 5 Report" provides the essential listing information, while reducing ink and paper consumption for those that wish to print. This one-page report was intended to be printed and is accessible in Matrix by selecting the 'Print' command. To locate the report: Do a Residential search in Matrix and go to the Results screen Select one or more listings and click 'Print' From the selection of printable reports, choose the RES Agent 1-Page Consolidated Report Select 'Print to PDF' to display a preview of the report; from here users can print the report, or download/save as a PDF document REIN is also actively working on an Agent 1-Page Consolidated Report for the Rental and Land & Farm property types. These will be released as they are completed. Instanet "Listing Bridge" Coming Soon Instanet Solutions is bridging the gap between filling out the Property Data Input Form and entering that same information in Matrix listing input! We are eliminating the double entry process! Currently, agents complete the Property Data Input Form, and then either the agent or admin has to retype that same information in Matrix to create the listing. Integration between Instanet and Matrix is about to end that redundancy! Coming soon, the click of a button will streamline the listing input process. The Input Form in Instanet will push information into Matrix as an incomplete listing, and the property will be assigned a ML#. From there, either the agent or admin with listing input rights will retrieve the incomplete listing in Matrix, add photos, make any necessary edits, validate that all fields have been filled out, and submit the new listing as Active in the MLS. A few things to keep in mind with this new functionality: The ability to push information from the Input Form in Instant to an incomplete listing in Matrix is available to all users. However, only an individual with listing input rights (approved by Brokers) is able to make the listing Active in Matrix. The Property Data Input Form must be signed by the Seller(s). This can be accomplished by printing the form and obtaining "wet" signatures, or for a truly paperless transaction, by using AuthentiSign to obtain digital signatures. This new capability is OPTIONAL. While this "Listing Bridge" has the potential to save significant time and paper, the use of this feature is not required. Firms/Agents may continue to input listings directly into Matrix as they have always done. To prepare for this new capability, REIN is updating the Property Data Input Forms and testing the new program. An official launch date will be announced via email, so stay tuned!
