Sustainable Urban China Draft conference program as of 22.04.2015

Overview The Sustainable Urban China Conference is organized by ICLEI with the support of HEXUN Consulting and the GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, and other partners, as part of the Metropolitan Solutions on May 20 th, 2015. The aim of the conference is to establish connections between local government representatives and the private sector from China, Germany and around the world to enhance their cooperation concerning sustainable urban development. Key conference information Conference date: 20 May 2015 Conference venue: City Cube, Berlin exhibition grounds Rooms M1, R3 and ICLEI Lounge Expected participants: 100-150 Conference languages: English and Chinese (Plenary, First Workshop, Lounge Talks) German and Chinese (Workshops 2-4) Conference elements Traditional conference program to present Europe-Chinese cooperation topics and provide a framework for exchange. Workshops will supplement the dialogue-oriented conference program with concrete opportunities for knowledge exchange and training. Participation will be restricted to a target group of experts. Upon completion, a certificate can be issued for participants. In addition to the conference, Lounge Talks in small and informal groups can be organized in the ICLEI Lounge. Lounge Talks are restricted to 10 selected participants from the private and public sector and will promote relevant and personal contacts.
