The purpose of the Urban Laboratory and Aalto Dialogue is to investigate the socio-spatial effects of mega shopping malls within the urban structure. In the second period, the Urban Laboratory also aims to provide an understanding of the institutional, political and economic context of megaprojects (including mega infrastructures). 6
