In the absence of the Chair, the Secretary-Treasurer called the members to order at 9:00 a.m. p.m., as per Section 7.2 of the Procedural By-law and requested a nomination for Chairperson from the members who shall preside during the meeting. Resolution Number 33-2018 That Mr. Johnston be nominated to act as the Chairperson for the meeting. Mr. Johnston accepted the nomination to act as Chairperson for the meeting and took the Chair. 2. The Chairperson, Mr. Johnston, called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. 3. Mr. Johnston reminded members of their obligation to declare any potential conflict of interest. None were declared. 3. Resolution Number 34-2018 - Adoption of Minutes Moved by: Mrs. Black Seconded by: Mrs. Landsmann That the Minutes from September 28, 2018, 2018 be received and approved. 4. Applications: a) Minor Variance A-09-18 Douglas Allen and Janet Leona Corner Concession 5 Part Lot 30, RP 45R-1249 Parts 1 to 4 2277 Barnes Ave Dummer Ward, Roll No. 020-004-25600 Purpose of Application: The owners would like to construct a new proposed addition on the subject property. To permit the structure in the proposed location, variances are requested to reduce the easterly interior side yard setback from 6 metres (19.68 ) to 5.04m (16.53 ) and 5.48m (17.99 );

Previous Minor Variance A-21-04 allowed for the demolition of an existing structure and reduced wateryard setbacks for the new structure (one-storey frame dwelling) and Minor Variance A-25-04 allowed for further wateryard setback reductions and a reduction to the side yard setback on the easterly side of the dwelling. B. Fleguel Surveyors, Ontario Land Surveyor, dated October 1, 2018 attached to this Decision as Schedule A, and to bring the structure into compliance with the zoning by-law. Approval is conditional on the following: - The variance would be for the life of the structures only (definition) - Obtaining any necessary permits from ORCA, the Health Unit, Trent Severn Waterway and any other required ministry/agency - Proper Building Plans be submitted with the building permit application based on the design included on the Plan of Survey prepared by J. B. Fleguel Surveyors, Ontario Land Surveyor, dated October 1, 2018 attached to this Decision as Schedule A and submitted with the minor variance application. - That the exterior corners of the structure(s) be pinned by a Surveyor on the poured footings and a copy of the survey be provided to the Chief Building Official after the footings are poured and prior to any further construction taking place - That verification from an Ontario Land Surveyor be provided to the Township s Chief Building Official after the structure(s) are framed to confirm that all applicable setback requirements have been met and to ensure compliance with any relief granted by this decision of the Committee.
