Janet Houser O Hair (on left) announced the second winner of a BHS Alumni Association scholarship, Lauren Johnston (in center), who recently graduated from North Putnam H.S. She is the daughter of Rick & Cammie Johnston and the grand daughter of the late Harold Alcorn, BHS class of 1944 who was a former member of the school board. Also shown on right is Gary Gus Martin, BHS class of 1967, who is a member of the scholarship selection committee and presented the award in May, 2016, at the North Putnam H.S. awards day program. Janet also announced that an anonymous donor has agreed to fully match up to $2500 for all donations to the BHS Alumni scholarship fund at the Putnam County Community Foundation from June 27 th to July 31 st this year. She urged all that can, to make a donation during this time.
BHS Alumni scholarship winner Lauren Johnston spoke at the banquet and extended her sincere thanks for the scholarship. She also briefly discussed her plans to attend Purdue University majoring in agriculture.
Larry Miller (on left ) from the class of 1963 provided some of the entertainment at the banquet by singing and playing his Martin guitar. He and his wife, BHS Alumni president Louise Buttery Miller, live at Clinton Falls. In back is Roger Riggen, BHS class of 1967, who provided the sound system for the evening.

BHS Alumni scholarship committee chairman Janet Houser O Hair and Denny O Hair (both BHS 1969) handle the 50-50 raffle registration for the BHS Alumni scholarship endowment. The raffle raised a total of $232 for the fund since Carolyn Roth Hiser (BHS 1967) on right, graciously donated all of her winnings back.

Those attending from the 70 year class of 1946 included: (L-R) Bill Lukenbill, Martha Hanks Walters and Richard Dick Sutherlin. Bill Lukenbill spoke for the class. Martha Hanks Walters also won the award for traveling the farthest to the banquet from Las Vegas along with June McGaughey Jones from the class of 1955 who was unavailable for a photo.
The class of 1956 (60 year class) was represented by: (seated L-R) are Evelyn Sayler Pitts, June Reynolds Leer, Shirley O Hair Cherry and Clara Wilson Thompson. In back (L-R) are Marvin Haggard, Jim Clifford, Gene McMurtry and Margaret Tippin Kessinger who gave the class response.
The introduction of the members of the class of 1966 (50 year class) used a Mickey Mouse Club theme complete with Mickey ears. Speaking for the class was Dick Evens who led the class through a humorous roll call. Members of the class present included: (in front L-R) Florence Spencer Stockton, Darlene Buzzard Bee, Glenda Thompson Nelson, Bobbi O Hair Canada, Sandra Sibbitt Grimes, Janet Scobee Updike, Melanie Priest Fason, Pam Games Robbins and John Hanks. In back (L-R) Gary Bell, Dick McFarland, Bill Judy, Dick Evens, Larry Canada, teacher/coach Pat Rady, Norman Taylor, teacher/coach Jim Sharp and teacher/basketball statistician Bill Henson.
A memory tree dedicated to the 12 deceased members of the class of 1966 along with some memorabilia was designed by Bobbi O Hair Canada on left and Glenda Thompson Nelson.
The Class of 1966 introductions and response at the banquet saw all of the classmates and former teachers present come on stage with their Mickey Mouse ears on for roll call. Glenda Thompson Nelson added great fun to the roll call when she introduced herself as I wanted to be Annette! From the class of 1966 Glenda Thompson Nelson wore her 66 senior cords for the roll call of her class on stage at the banquet. Three former BHS faculty members joined the class of 1966 during their Mickey Mouse Club roll call. They included (L-R) Bill Henson, Pat Rady and Jim Sharp.
Nine members of the class of 1969 plus their class sponsor Pat Rady attended the banquet. Members of the 1943 class won the award for the oldest attending the banquet. They included (L-R) Loren Templeman Sims, Geraldine Worley Malone and Ray Morphew. Not available for the photo was Kenneth Etcheson.
The Games family won the award for having the most BHS siblings present: (L-R) Charles Games (1955), Marilene Games Frederick (1955), Linda Games Stark (1957), Leroy Games (1961) and Pam Games Robbins (1966).
