Final Lock Box Distribution List 11/24/2015 Good Morning! Shown below is the final lock box distribution list. BICs may pick up their boxes next week at the location and time already chosen by each BIC. Boxes not picked up will be taken to the BIC s local board office for later distribution. Some BICs may not be happy with the quantity of lock boxes allocated to their office. The most common complaint has been that they may not be receiving the same number of boxes they currently have in their possession. The quantity of boxes available to each BIC was derived by a formula established by the Regional Board of Directors. It was: the total quantity of Supra lock boxes on all active, pending and due diligence listings on all property types on July 1, 2015, multiplied times 120%. (June/July were the peak listing count months for those categories.) Since the lock box serial number field was a mandatory field, it was determined to be the most accurate source for establishing who should receive lock boxes and how many they should receive. In the end, an additional small adjustment was allowed for offices that were created after July 1, who also had Supra lock boxes on them on a surprise audit of the same mandatory lock box field on November 15. During the three days of lock box distribution next week, we will have on hand both the original lock box spread sheet used to determine the count and the surprise audit results. Should any BIC wish to challenge their count, those sheets will be used to determine the final count. Again, it has nothing to do with how many boxes a BIC may have in his/her possession; or how many active listings they had on July 1; or how many active listings they may have right now; or, how many listings they may have in the near or long tern future. BICs may purchase additional lock boxes during the three day distribution period by presenting a check made out to their local board in the amount of $105.00 for each lock box they wish to purchase. Starting the following week, each local board office will also have an inventory of boxes available for purchase.
