Building History Built in 1914 as the L.L. Burns Western Costume Company, 910 S. Broadway is rich with L.A. history as one of the most prominent outfitters for the state and screen during Hollywood s Golden Age. In addition, given the building s unique gothic revival façade and proximity across the street from the famed United Artists Theatre Building (now the Ace Hotel), it has been featured in countless classic silent films and talkies dating back to the 1920 s. Throughout the mid-20th century, the building has seen numerous tenants from all walks of life. When Downtown s renaissance began in the early 2000 s and the Bringing Back Broadway Initiative gained steam, the Property was purchased by famed jewelry designer and manufacturer, Tarina Tarantino in 2007. The building has hence been converted into New York style creative office space. Given its location in the heart of the South Broadway Corridor and the transformation of other historic buildings close by, the Property has become sought after by retailers and creative office users.
