PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK CITY OF TOWN AND COUNTRY STORMWATER PROGRAM Project ID Number: 2-2 Problem: The backyards at 962, 97, and 978 Delvin Drive are located in a low area of shallow ponding that takes several days to dissipate after rains. Proposed Solution: A combination of improvements to the existing French drain/rain garden system behind ive and a new storm sewers may be necessary to convey runoff to the nearby storm sewers located at 982 Delvin Drive. Description of Proposed Alignment: At the upstream end of the improvements, replace approximately 7-ft of the existing French drain/rain garden system in the backyard of ive. Connect the French drain/rain garden system to a new area inlet at the west property line of ive. From the area inlet, install pipe sewer northwesterly to a new area inlet at the west property line of 97 Delvin. Continue with the pipe sewer northwesterly across the backyard of 97 Delvin Drive and connect to an existing area inlet at the shared property corner of 97, 986, and 992 Delvin Drive. Additionally, re-grade a swale to carry flow between the area inlets. Required Easements: ive (Temporary Construction Easement) ive (Permanent Easement) 97 Delvin Drive (Temporary Construction Easement) 97 Delvin Drive (Permanent Easement) 978 Delvin Drive (Temporary Construction Easement) 978 Delvin Drive (Permanent Easement) 986 Delvin Drive (Possible Temporary Construction Easement) 992 Delvin Drive (Possible Temporary Construction Easement) Commentary: The City provided a copy of a geotechnical report that documented remediation of a sinkhole in the area at the time of the subdivision development. Prior to constructing improvements in this area, a geotechnical investigation would be necessary. Depending on MSD review, water quality BMP s may be required to connect to their system. Additionally, hydraulic capacity of the existing system is unknown at this time and would have to be evaluated during final design. PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK
