Dirty Digger Newsletter March 2013 Next meeting will be March 20th, 2013 at 7:30pm Doors open at 7:00pm Minutes of The Pilchuck Treasure Hunting Club Feb 20, 2013 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM, by President Ron Hetzel, February 20, 2013 at the Everett Fire Fighters' Hall at 2411 Hewitt Ave. in Everett,WA. Officers present: President, Ron Hetzel; Vice President, Randy Routsala; Treasurer, Lora Hetzel and Secretary, Stan Schumacher and Sgt. at Arms, George Paquette. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved with the correction of month of April from May for the month of the St. Patrick's Day Hunt. Treasurer, Lora reported the next Treasurer's report would be made at the next meeting in March. Vice President, Randy R. gave a report of the Second Saturday Hunt of Feb. 9, 2013. Second Saturday Hunt Feb 9th 2013. Breakfast at Denny's 128th & I-5 at 8AM. Members Attending: David L., Randy R., Jim T., Ray D., Ben T., Mark J. and Stan. It was decided that the hunt would take place at the Snohomish 9th Grade Campus. Ben Trower was given the find of the day award for a silver jewelry item. Treasurer, Laura Hetzel discussed the upcoming Mayfest Hunt. The event will be held on May 24, 25 & 26th at the Stanwood Fairgrounds. Lora has completed the Mayfest Flyers and is in the process of distributing them. There will be six hunts on Saturday which includes he Kids Hunt and the Seniors Hunt. Sunday will have two hunts. Lora noted that the entry age for the Seniors Hunt has been lowered to 62 years of age, due to complaints. There will be a Potluck on Saturday at 12:30 PM, a dinner Saturday night at 5 PM (a shared dinner among those attending ) of hot dogs, burgers and brats. Sunday at 7 AM to 9 AM there will be a fund raising breakfast for a $5.00 donation. Vice President, Randy R. presented the Finds of the Month awards for February to those members whose entries were selected by the Month's Judges, Members : Ron A. and Bob B. The Show for the Dough was won by Donna S. Ron H. was the winner on the Candy Attendance Guess The meeting was adjourned by President, Ron at 8:45PM.

Scavenger Hunt ends March 20, 21013 ********************************************************************************************************************** The Saint Patrick's Day hunt date was selected as April 27th 2013. To be held at The Silver Lake City Park (Beach). Member, David label volunteered to host the hunt. Planting beginning at 9 AM and the hunt to start at 10 AM. with a potluck to follow. Entry fee for the hunt will be $10 plus two donated items for the hunt from each member participating in the hunt. ********************************************************************************************************************** Second Saturday Hunt Feb 9 th and March 9th Randy R. VP will be running the hunt. We will be meeting at Denny s at 8:00 for breakfast then selecting a location to go to for the hunt. Denny s location is 132-128 ST. SW, Everett, WA 98204 Second Saturday Hunt for April, will be at the Stanwood Fairgrounds for pre-cleanup. April 13 th at 9:00 we will have donuts and Coffee We will have access to the fields but not the hall, there is another event that day. This year officers: Ron H. Prez. Randy R. VP Lora H. Treas. Front Table Registrations and token prizes Nikki Kitchen This year we will be having a food drive at the hunt, will need a volunteer to take food to food bank after Mayfest hunt. Club Meetings: Next meeting March 20 th at 7:30pm Club meeting are held at the Everett Fire Fighters Hall at 2411 Hewitt Ave., Everett, WA. Meetings are the third Wednesday of every month with the exception of July. There is no meeting in July. Guest are always welcomed. Club Information on dues: Persons or families joining the club must pay a one time application fee of $5.00. Dues for individuals 16 years or older are $25.00 per year. A Family membership is available for a husband and wife or single parent for $30.00 per year which also includes their dependent children 15 years and younger. The reason that a 16 year old child isn t included is because of our BI-Laws. A 16 year old member can be elected to hold office. Lifetime Memberships are also available at $200.00 and Senior Lifetime Membership (65 years or older) at $60.00.
