I contributed a few chapters in Telugu for the preparation of B.A. Text Books in History published by the Telugu Academy, Hyderabad in 1998-99.I have been a member of statutory academic bodies like the Board of Studies, Departmental Committee and involved in the preparation of syllabus, academic planning and evaluation methods. I have also been a member of the Editorial Advisory Committee of Osmania Journal of Historical Research, Department of History, Osmania University and a co-editor of the proceeding volumes of seminars conducted by the department under the Research programme, 1994-2002. As a life member of the Andhra Pradesh History Congress I was nominated to the Editorial Board of the proceedings volume, Modern Section in 1999. I am also one of the editors of Comprehensive History of Andhra Pradesh volumes. I also acted as the External Examiner for the evaluation of M.Phil and Ph.D. Theses and was appointed as External member of Boards of Studies of various Universities in India. I am associated with several national and international professional organizations and was elected as the Sectional President (Modern India) of the Indian History Congress in 2005.
