Upon a motion by Roy, seconded by Grandstaff-Rice, it was VOTED to accept the minutes of the November 12, 2015 board meeting as submitted; unanimous. President s Report Love provided an overview of BSA initiatives and priorities in 2015. He presented areas that professional architects are specifically trained to think about and do with a focus on content areas where the BSA is indispensable; BSA content that aligns with public policy; and initiatives and activities that align with BSA Civic Engagement Task Force priorities. He also urged the board and members to maintain focus on three urban design emergencies: Suffolk Downs, South Reserved Channel, and Beacon Yards. Budget and Q3 Updates: Love called on Treasurer Jim Collins FAIA who provided a budget summary and briefly presented the budget. Collins also introduced budget priorities for 2016. He noted that the board had reviewed the proposed budget and recommended its adoption. Upon a motion by Pasnik, seconded by Roy, it was VOTED to accept the 2016 budget as proposed;unanimous. Valedictories and New Members: Love recognized the departing committee chairs of 2015 and introduced departing board member, Emily Grandstaff-Rice AIA (past president), giving her a gift and inviting her to share brief comments about her term of office. Loved also acknowledged 2015 newly licensed members and new members. 2

Passing of the Gavel: Election Results and Introduction of 2016 Board: Love called incoming president, Tamara Roy AIA to the podium, officially welcomed her as 2016 president and gave her the gavel. On behalf of the board, Roy thanked Love for his service. Roy spoke about the roles of the BSA president and BSA board and then presented her priorities for 2016 including continued focus on urban design, resiliency, housing, transportation, and design excellence. Roy announced the results of the BSA election.
