The Swiss Innovation Forum is a national platform for promoting creativity, design and innovation. To dream, to imagine, to be lost in thought and forget the everyday world: this year's event is being held under the claim of "DREAM" and will show how innovative business ideas can originate from visions and dreams. Aubrey de Grey Chief Science Officer, SENS Research Foundation The British researcher Dr Aubrey de Grey studied Computer Science and Biology at the University of Cambridge, where he also gained his PhD. The biomedical gerontologist specialises in the ageing process and advocates the theory that humans can overcome ageing and death. He writes papers for eminent scientific publications and is co-author of the book "Ending Aging". In 2009, de Grey founded the California-based SENS Research Foundation, which he now leads as Chief Science Officer. The non-profit organisation carries out research and has the aim of combating human ageing. Prof Dr Peter Zec Communications and design expert The design expert Prof Dr Peter Zec has been advising prestigious companies in Switzerland and abroad for over 25 years. He gained worldwide recognition by launching and managing the Red Dot Design Award. He has been Managing Director of the North Rhine-Westphalia Design Centre since 1991. He had previously lectured at the HTW Berlin - University of Applied Sciences and was CEO of the Federation of German Graphic Designers (BDG) and the Federation of German Graphic Designers (VDID). An expert in the German and international design scene, he publishes the "red dot design yearbook" and has written several books.
Alisée de Tonnac CEO and co-founder, Seedstars World Alisée de Tonnac studied at HEC Lausanne and the Bocconi University in Milan. Further to an experience as product manager within the L Oreal Group, Alisee traveled for a year around the world to set up the first edition of Seedstars World, the biggest startup competition in emerging markets, back in 2013. She is now managing the company and taking it to the next level. The competition is now present in 60+ cities and by next year Seedstars World will have launched 15 strategic hubs, including an acceleration and venture builder program, around the world. De Tonnac now has accumulated deep knowledge of trends in technology, social media & consumer behaviour in emerging markets. Markus Gabriel Professor of Philosophy, University of Bonn Dr Markus Gabriel received his doctorate and professorship from the University of Heidelberg. He then became Assistant Professor at the New School for Social Research in New York. Since 2009 he has lectured on Epistemology at the University of Bonn. As the youngest philosophy professor in Germany, he specialises in modern and present-day philosophy. Gabriel is the author of several highly acclaimed books such as "Why the world does not exist" and was named by John Searle as "Germany's top philosopher". Since 2012 he has been Director of the International Center for Philosophy and since 2017 he has been Chairman of the interdisciplinary Center for Science and Thought in Bonn. He also lectures as a visiting professor at the Sorbonne in Paris.
Call for Participation Get involved in the Swiss Innovation Forum 2017 The idea of participation and sharing knowledge is one of the key elements of the Swiss Innovation Forum. Following last year's successful pilot project, we will be holding two one-hour workshops from your submissions in response to the Call for Participation. Surprise us with an innovative and unusual contribution! We are looking for your idea, your vision, your project creative, fresh and innovative. Design a practice-oriented workshop and inspire our participants with your novel insights and takeaways. We are looking for creative ideas with substance, which are relevant to this year's claim DREAM. The programme topic should be a real added value for the participants. In return for sharing your idea, we will offer you an ideal workshop stage to speak and play as well as a free entry to the Swiss Innovation Forum. By when? The deadline for submissions is 15 September 2017. How?
