National Trust Cottages Access Statement Cottage details: The Victorian Laundry Brochure Ref: 020001 Introduction York's 'Country house and garden', this imposing Georgian mansion was built in 1716 and contains one of the most impressive baroque interiors in England. The holiday apartment is on the first floor over the Victorian Laundry, 85 metres from the garage. Guests staying here can enjoy the garden and grounds exclusively outside normal opening hours. With York city centre only eight miles away, this is an ideal base to experience both town and countryside.
