Access Statement for Helios, 3 The Spinnakers, Valley Road, Carbis Bay Introduction Helios is a first and second floor (2007) three bedroom apartment off Valley Road, Carbis Bay. Pre-Arrival Blue Chip Vacations website (www.bluechipholidays.co.uk) contains full details of Helios with descriptions and pictures of all rooms. Bookings, enquiries can be made directly from the website, via email or by telephone and letter. All guests are provided with directions. The nearest bus stop is on St Ives Road, 5 minutes walk away and Carbis Bay railway station is under 10 minutes walk away. This access statement is available via Blue Chip Holidays website and in the Welcome Pack in the apartment. Arrival and Car Parking Facilities There are two blocks of four apartments at Spinnakers and each has its own dedicated parking space. There is an additional visitor s space for each block. Main Entrance and Reception The main communal entrance is at the rear of the building. It is approached by walking around the left side of the building along the paved footway around the front lawn. There is a key safe for Helios on the wall to the left of the entrance. The front door is hinged on the left and provides access to the communal hallway and stairwell. There are wide carpeted stairs with an oak balustrade to the first floor and the front door to Helios it on the left at the top. Helios front door is hinged on the right and provides access to the hallway. There is a light switch on the left side and there are doormats on the inside and outside.
On the left in the hallway is a console table an on the right is a large built in storage cupboard. The hallway is carpeted throughout. Public Areas General (Internal) The communal hallway and stairwell is a public area providing access to all four apartments and should be kept clear at all times. Public Areas WC Restaurant/Dining Room, Bar and Lounges, Take Away and Café The open plan lounge/diner is located on the right at the end of the hallway and is carpeted throughout. To the left is the lounge area with a 5 seater corner unit sofa, a single armchair, stool, nest of tables, magazine rack and a father and child reading light. There is an LCD TV and DVD/video recorder with remote control and a radio/cd player. The light switch for the overhead spotlights is to the left of the door. There are wide patio doors onto the front balcony which runs the length of the property with panoramic sea views. In the centre is the dining area with a granite top dining table and six dining chairs. Laundry Shop The utility room is accessed off the main hallway and contains a front loading washer/drier, storage cupboards, ironing board, drying rack and cleaning equipment. It is accessed from the lounge and the double bedroom. There is a balcony at the rear of the property with a table and 4 chairs. It is suitable for disposable barbeques. It is accessed from the rear twin bedroom. There is a communal lawn at the front of the property. Conference and Meeting Rooms, Banqueting, Clubs, Entertainment. Bedrooms Downstairs Bedroom One. The double bedroom is accessed from the end of the main hallway on the left, the door is hinged on the left and the room is carpeted throughout. There is a light switch to the right. There is a double bed with two bedside tables and reading lights. There is a dressing table with a mirror, a chest of drawers and a full length wardrobe. There is an LCD TV with remote control. There are patio doors which open inwards providing access to the front balcony. All bedding is Egyptian cotton with pillows and quilts. Downstairs Bedroom Two. The twin bedroom is accessed from the main hallway and is the first door on the left entering the apartment. It is carpeted throughout.
There are two 3 foot wide single beds, both against a wall with a 500mm gap between. There is a bedside table and reading light, a chest of drawers, mirror and clothes hooks to the rear of the door. There are patio doors which open inwards providing access onto the rear balcony. All bedding is Egyptian cotton with pillows and quilts. Upstairs Bedroom. There is a large loft twin bedroom upstairs with sloping ceiling and two velux windows. It is accessed from the main hallway staircase and is carpeted throughout. There are two 3 foot wide single beds with easy access all round. There are two bedside tables and reading lights. There is a dressing table and mirror, chest of drawers and ample built in cupboard space. There is a sofa bed. There is an LCD TV with remote control with DVD player and Playstation 2. All bedding is Egyptian cotton with pillows and quilts. Bathroom, Shower Room and WC [En-suite and shared] Upstairs En Suite The upstairs bedroom has an en suite shower room with a walk in shower cubicle. There is a toilet, wash basin mirror and shaver socket. There is a wall mounted heated towel rail. The floor surface is non slip ceramic tiles. House Bathroom The house bathroom is accessed off the main hallway. It contains a spa bath with over-bath shower, toilet, wash basin, shaver socket and wall mounted heated towel rail. Self-Catering Kitchen The kitchen is to the right of the lounge diner and the floor surface is non slip ceramic tiles. The layout is U shaped and contains a fridge, dishwasher and sink unit to the right. To the left is an integral fan assisted oven with built in microwave, freezer, fire extinguisher and fire blanket. At the end is a 4 burner gas hob with central wok burner and overhead extractor fan. All work surfaces are granite and there is ample cupboard space below the work surface and either side of the hob. The kitchen is lit by two separate sets of lights, one overhead and one under unit. Catering standard crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment is contained in the cupboards beneath the work surfaces and glasses and cups are in the wall cupboards.
