LEED The basic operations for a conscious design of buildings shells and their technological systems include the assessment of energy consumption, the verification of energy efficiency and the definition of energy conservation interventions. Politecnica, through its highly qualified team of professional experts performs in-depth researches on energy related issues and particularly on the use of power within targeted systems, in the aim at identifying the parameters affecting consumption and waste forming the scientific rationale for an energy plan covering both technical and economical feasibility of recommended actions and methods. The fully-integrated analysis assures a complete Energy Use analysis assessing the building shell, its walls and its entire structure including special systems (doors and window frames, air-conditioning, heating and water supplying systems) thus integrating the production process in itself when it is the case of industrial facilities (monitoring power consumption and use in plants and equipment operation). The specialists know how proves crucial for the assessment of single architectural design, technological system plan and consumption analysis to offer environmentally-oriented projects featuring low energy consumption and energy-efficiently operated systems. Approaching the construction design of business facilities by cutting-edge, energy-efficient actions reduces considerably the operating costs on a yearly bases, thus minimizing environmental impact. Sustainable methodology in building design assures great positive impact in terms of environmental, economical and social assets both on a local and on a global scale, from which all facility users, including owners, shall benefit. Politecnica has long ago reached its target in Integrated Energy requalification & efficiency improvement by performing its tested analyses method in the production facilities of well-known industrial brands. Politecnica is presently collaborating with some of the leading companies and firms operating in the industrial production and service field. sustainability of the site materials & resources waters management environmental quality energy & atmosphere design innovation Cross-disciplinary experienced professionals in the designing team, with their increasing interest in sustainable technical issues, assure Politecnica s role as an operator in the field of environmental certification, through a design based on LEED protocol standard (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Politecnica, as a partner of GBC Italia, is committed in rendering design services for the development and offer of high-standard sustainable buildings. The achieved success is the result of its remarkable capability to meet the needs of the buildings operators, users and owners as well as assuring excellent quality service to clients. Operating, managing and maintaining become essential issues to optimize the budget lowering and environmental advantages through the development of the entire process leading to eco-sustainable construction projects. 08

PMI Politecnica in 2014 undertook a training strategy for those associates who perform project management roles, according to the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification process. Now the Company has already four Project Managers (PM) certified by the PMI (Project Management Institute) and their number will be soon expanded. The Project Management Professional (PMP) is the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to Project activities in order to fulfil the Project requirements. Project Management demands a clear identification of the Project requirements and involves a careful assessment of the needs and expectations placed in the Project during its planning and implementation. The application of the Program Management helps Politecnica s PMs to solve constraints and/or conflicts between Projects. It allows them to overcome the difficulties and to facilitate the changes within a structure of shared governance. It facilitates the attention to balance the fundamental aspects of a Project: Scope, Quality, Time schedule, Budget, Resources and Risks. For Politecnica the PM is the person chosen by the Company to achieve the Project objectives. In addition to the skills required in the specific field and to his/ her managerial capacity, the PM in Politecnica features the following skills: Knowledge of Project Management. Ability to implement this knowledge. Capacity to performing PM s task; Capacity to motivate the Project team in achieving the objectives and to balance the Project constraints 10
FIDIC AND QUALITY Since February 2015 Politecnica, as associates OICE, belong to FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers), an international standardization of contracts in the construction industry. The FIDIC construction contracts models are used in many countries around the world and their knowledge is an admission requirement for many tender issued by international funding bodies, including the European Commission. FIDIC social target is to represent engineering and give them a greater role, and act as reference Authority for issues related to "Business Practices" and to "Business Integrity". Since January 2001 the Politecnica has a Quality Management System certified according to ISO 9001. Since 2013 Politecnica has Integrated Management System for Quality and Environment, and obtained during 2015 also the certification according to ISO 14001 (certificate Bureau Veritas No. IT262405/UK).
