Photos of Property BACKGROUND: On April 7, 2017, the Red Wing Police Deprtment received complint of junk t residence locted t 725 College Ave. Severl couches, dresser nd other furnishing nd debris were locted on the property. In ddition there ws couch nd other debris in violtion in the bck yrd of the property. A Courtesy Notice of Violtion ws miled to the property owner his t current miling the ddress on 4/ 10/ In telephone ddition, property Follow- up determined tht the owner removed the items in violtion in the front of the property but filed to correct the violtions in communiction the bck yrd. ws A mde with subsequent Notice owner. of Violtion ws miled on 5/ 17/ 17. Two dditionl telephone clls were plced to the property owner on 4/ 28/ 17 nd gin on 5/ 5/ 17 with no response. As of 6/ 30/ 17 the property is still in violtion. DISCUSSION: Upon reserching tx records it ws determined tht the property is owned by Dvid Furlong. A Notice of Violtion of the City' s junk ordinnce ws miled to the property owner on 5/ 17/ 17. The owners were lso ssessed $ fee t tht time. Per Section , , of the City Code, we re requesting the property to be declred nuisnce in order to hve the property clened up by the City of Red Wing Public Works Deprtment. There is no cost estimte for the clenup of this property, but ll costs to bring the property into complince with the City Code will be ssessed to the property. SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT Offense Complinnt Dte/ Time JUNK ORDINANCE City of Red Wing 4/ 7/ 17 / 1445 Content of Report INITIAL FINDINGS Officer: BOhmbch Bdge# CS1 Nrrtive: On the bove dte nd time I ws disptched to tow vehicle from 921 College Ave. Once the vehicle ws towed wy I proceeded down College Ave. towrds the Lw Enforcement Center. As I ws heding down the hill I observed pile of furnishing outside of 725 College Ave. Along- side the house were two couches, dismntled dresser, nd other furnishing nd debris. In the bckyrd ws nother couch, pils, nd other continers, nd broken pet crrier. Upon returning to the office I identified the owner of the property s D. F. Property Mngement. From previous junk ordinnce violtions I know this is the property mngement compny owner by Dvid Furlong. A Courtesy Notice of Junk Violtion ws completed for delivery to Mr. Furlong. SIGNED DATE
