1 Tenant Screening Online Rental Exchange Revised: 01/11/2018 The Tenant Screening module in Winten2+ provides agencies detailed reports to assist in the occupancy approval process. Tenant Screening ensures your agency makes the appropriate housing decision at the industry s most competitive rates. Job Aid Online Rental Exchange is one of two providers with which Tenmast has partnered to offer screening services. Online Rental Exchange is one of the industry s most accurate applicant screening and criminal/eviction reporting services. Key features include: State and national reports Sex offender and OFAC results included Manual state and county searches can be included If you opt to use Online Rental Exchange as your provider, you must first establish an account with them before you can use the Tenant Screening module in Winten2+. Please contact your Tenmast Account Manager for more information. Winten2+ Setup Once your account with Online Rental Exchange is created, follow these instructions to set up the account in Winten2+: 1 On the Home tab, select Person Search. 2 The Person Search screen opens. 3 Select the View link to the left of the person s name in the grid. 4 The Person screen opens for the selected person. Click the Tenant Screening button.

Click the Tenant Screening button. 5 If you have never logged in to your OIS account, you will be prompted to do so. Enter the Username, Password and Client ID provided by Online Rental Exchange. Then click the Save button. After you first login to your OIS account, your credentials are saved and you will not be prompted to perform this step again MRI Software. 3 6 The Tenant Screening screen opens. Click the Manage Accounts button at the top. 7 The Manage Accounts screen opens. Click the New button. 8 A new row is added to the grid. Enter the following values, then click the Save button. Provider: Select ONLINE Rental Exchange. Username: The username provided to you by Online Rental Exchange. Password: The password provided to you by Online Rental Exchange. Client ID: The client ID provided to you by Online Rental Exchange. Client Name: Your agency s name (optional). 9 You may have multiple accounts with Online Rental Exchange. If so, repeat steps 7-8 until all accounts have been set up in Winten2+. Screen A Tenant 1 On the Home tab, select Person Search. 2 The Person Search screen opens. Enter the name of the person you want to screen, then click the Search button MRI Software. Select the desired Online Rental Exchange account from the dropdown list at the top. 6 The Tenant Screening Options panel is now displayed on the right. There are 4 boxes in which you can define criteria for your search (described below). Select the desired options from the drop-down lists, then click the Perform Tenant Screening button. Product Type: The type of search you want to perform, such as employment or criminal. Criminal Search States: State(s) in which to perform a criminal search. Criminal Search Counties: County(s) in which to perform a criminal search. Counties will only show for certain types of searches where specific states have been selected in the box above.
