5 FIRST-TIME EXHIBITOR SUCCESS STORIES Company: Booth Size: Objective: RCN Capital 0x0 Launch specific referral program for REALTORS I had never attended the REALTORS Expo previously, and I was unsure of how interested the attendees would be in what RCN had to offer. On opening day, I interacted with a steady flood of attendees, sometimes five to ten at a time, and knew right away that this show was going to be a success for us. The traffic to our booth was nonstop for the first three days, and at times, it was even more than we could handle with the team we had. I spent most of the four show days answering extremely in-depth questions and talking about specific deal scenarios. We estimate that it would take one to two months to match the level of leads we experienced in just four days from exhibiting at the expo. The passion from everyone I talked to was palpable. It says a great deal about NAR and show management that 20,000 plus people, who represent the best in the field, thought it was worth their time to attend this event. From my experiences, I can see why. In addition, I was incredibly impressed by the variety of exhibitors. I explored the exhibit floor and discovered the REALTORS Expo was excellent for networking with other exhibiting companies as it was for talking with motivated and interested potential REALTORS. I have already created several partnerships because of this show, and more are still developing. We have thrown around the idea of exhibiting for a couple of years. This year we finally closed our eyes and jumped, and we are so happy we did! WOW! It was a great experience! We exposed our services to an industry we believe will find us an important part of the home-buying and/or selling process. We learned something new from everybody we spoke to, and made connections that we hope to turn into lasting relationships. As an added bonus, we walked away with leads from all over the globe for franchise sales, which we were not expecting or marketing. We would not have received these leads were it not for our participation in the REALTORS Expo. The expo was great energy, a professional, yet fun environment, and a fantastic experience that I have no doubt, will be a profitable one as well.
