Smith, MAI, ASA formed RCS Appraisal, Inc. in November Mr. Smith entered the appraisal profession in 1986 in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was employed by Burke Hansen, Inc. In 1990, he was employed by Security Pacific Bank, where he began a six-year tenure working for several regional and national banks in various appraisal policy and management capacities, including Bank of America and U.S. Bancorp. In 1996, Mr. Smith left the banking profession working for nearly two years with the accounting firm of Piercy, Bowler, Taylor & Kern in Las Vegas as a manager in the real estate, hospitality, and gaming division. His wide range of experience and work with multiple property types provided the basis for the establishment of RCS Appraisal, Inc. Mr. Smith is joined by Steve Porter, MAI (Certified General Appraiser), Bill West, MAI (Certified General Appraiser), and Skyler Scott (Appraiser Intern).
