The parcel is contiguous to incorporated properties, and currently has available water service. This parcel is located in a Primary annexation area as identified in the Urban Service Area plan. CITY AGENCY COMMENTS FOR ANNEXATION Krista M. Hampton, Planning Approve. & Development Services Subject parcel has available City of Columbia water service. Sewer service is Denny Daniels, Engineering provided by East Richland. Annexation of this property would lower the ISO rating to a Class 2 from a Class 4. Fire Marshal Randy G. Scott, Police Chief Robert Anderson, Public Works This action would not impact current services being provided by this department. The Columbia Police Department has no objections to this annexation. Evaluation of this request reveals no immediate impacts of concern. The Department will study the totality of annexations at year s end to determine whether additional resources are warranted. No concerns. CITY AGENCY COMMENTS FOR MAP AMENDMENT Johnathan E. Chambers, Land Development Administrator In that the proposed use of a sit down restaurant without a drive thru is a permitted use within the M-1 zoning district, staff recommends approval of this annexation request. Should the applicant propose to add a drive thru, Board of Zoning Appeals review and approval will be required. PAGE 1 OF 1
