The property is a single family residence and will be rented as a single dwelling. The entrre premise will be available to the renter, with the exception of the basement. 7 September 14, 2016 Greetings Neighbors! We have owned our home at 1701 South 4th Street since We primarily purchased the property so that our four children had a permanent local residence while they were attending post-secondary educations in the Louisville Metro area. When there was no longer a need to provide housing for our children, we began renting our home utilizing short term rentals. We have been renting our home in this capacity for the past few years and find that it works very well. It provides an income so that we are able to maintain and improve the property with only limited renters in our home. Recently, Louisville Metro Planning and Design Services implemented new policies in regards to short term rentals. Among the new policies is the condition that we must host a neighborhood meeting to discuss our Short Term Application with PDS. Our neighborhood meeting will be on Friday, September 30, We will meet at 341 West Cardinal Blvd (Jimmy Johns) at 7:00 PM. We have a great appreciation for the homes in Old Louisville. Being granted the approval of our application will allow us the opportunity to continue to maintain and improve the property, thus ensuring the historical integrity of the house is preserved.
