1 Creating a New Order 1. From enter your user id and password and select log in. 2. The Locate product screen will appear. From the top left hand corner select NEW ORDER. 3. From the new order screen select the State your property is in. 4. Your company name will automatically fill in. If you have the capability to order on behalf of multiple companies, select the drop down arrow and choose the company you wish to order on behalf of. 5. Select the County your property is in. (If you are placing a current owner search in a state in which you don t have access enter it as a Meigs County OH order, place a note in the comments section which State/County the property is in) 6. Select your order type: a. Acreage Buy/Sell (42 year full search) b. Ancillary Products/Misc. (copy requests, tax and legal, any misc. requests) TitleWave - Creating a New Order 1

2 c. Commercial Buy/Sell (Full 100 year commercial search) d. Commercial Refinance (Full 100 year commercial search) e. Equity (residential current owner search) f. Guaranty Foreclosure (42 year search, preliminary/final judicial) g. Property Report (residential or commercial current owner search) h. Residential Builder Buy/Sell (full search) i. Residential Buy/Sell (full search) j. Residential Refinance (current owner search) 7. Select go 8. This will bring up the detailed order screen. 9. Primary Order Information a. State: will auto fill in b. County/Town: will auto fill in c. Order Type: will auto fill in d. Application: leave blank (TW will assign you an application number upon completion of entering the order) e. Application date/time: will auto fill in f. Contact User Name: will auto fill in g. Contact User Phone: will auto fill in TitleWave - Creating a New Order 2

3 h. Company Name : will auto fill in i. Associated Company (if you have an associated company select it from the drop down, most users will not have the option to select an associated company) j. Sales Rep: will auto fill in, if available k. Production user: will auto fill in, if available l. confirmation when complete: the default address we have for you will pull to this field, however, if you want to add an additional you can by placing a ; after the address shown. (ex: betsy.allshouse@fnf.com; diane.forro@fnf.com) m. Brand: please select your brand/underwriter from the drop down arrow. n. Customer Reference #: enter your order number o. Additional reference #: enter any additional reference number you have p. Back Title #: if TitleWave has previously completed an order for you on this address and you have our prior order number, enter it here 10. Seller/Owner a. Enter the individual owner s names and status if available b. If your seller/owner is a company enter the information under Entity/Estate/Trust. c. If you have more than 2 individual sellers, select add additional seller/owner or if you have more than 1 company name select add additional Entity/Estate/Trust and you will be given additional fields to enter information. 11. Buyer/Borrower a. Enter the individual buyer/borrower s names and status if available. b. If your buyer/borrower is a company enter the information under Entity/Estate Trust. c. If you have more than 2 individual sellers, select add additional seller/owner or if you have more than 1 company name select add additional Entity/Estate/Trust and you will be given additional fields to enter information. 12. Sales Price/Loan Information (this is not a required field) TitleWave - Creating a New Order 3

4 a. Sales Price 1: enter a sales price, if available b. Sales Price 2: enter a sales price, if available c. Lender 1: enter the lender name, if available d. Lender Clause 1: select a lender clause from the dropdown arrow if needed e. Loan Amount 1: enter the loan amount f. Lender 2: enter the second lenders name, if any g. Lender 2 clause: select a lender clause for the 2 nd lender from the dropdown arrow if needed h. Loan Amount 2: enter the loan amount for the 2 nd mortgage, if any 13. Property Information a. Street #: enter the street number only b. Street name: enter the street name only c. City: enter the City the property is located in d. State: will auto fill in e. Municipality: select the Municipality if available f. Zip code: enter the zip code the property is located in g. Condominium name: enter Condominium name, if available h. Unit: enter unit number, if available i. Building: enter bldg. number, if available j. Subdivision: enter subdivision name, if available k. Phase: enter phase of subdivision, if available l. Lot: enter lot number, if available m. Block: enter block number/letter, if available n. Section: enter the section number/letter, if available o. Township: enter the township, if available p. Tax ID/Parcel No./APN: enter the parcel number(s) if available. You can enter more than one by placing a ; after each parcel number q. Range: enter a range, if available r. District: enter a district, if available s. If the property is new construction, new plat or vacant land place an X by clicking on the appropriate box t. ¼ section: enter ¼ section, if available u. ¼ ¼ section: enter ¼ ¼ section, if available v. 5 w. Plat/Condo Book: enter plat book and page, if available x. Recorded Lot: enter recorded lot number, if available y. Recorded Plat: enter recorded plat info, if available z. Plat Instrument No.: enter Plat Instrument No., if available aa. Map #: enter map #, if available bb. Certificate#: Enter certificate #, if available cc. If applicable select Torrens or Abstract by clicking in the appropriate box 14. Request Product a. Select Product: from the drop down arrow select your product by clicking on the product type Appurtenant Easement Search ( to be used if you are only requesting an easement search) Bankruptcy Search ( to be used if you are only requesting we check for a bankruptcy) Copies (to be used if you are only requesting specific copies) Copies Certified ( to be used if you are only requesting specific certified copies) Current owner lien search commercial (this product will provide you with a typed lien report on a commercial property) Current owner lien search residential ( this product will provide you with a typed lien report on a residential property) Judicial residential (this product will provide you a typed preliminary judicial for a residential property) Judicial residential 40 year (this product will provide you a typed preliminary judicial for a residential property covering a 40 year period) Judicial commercial (this product will provide you a typed preliminary judicial for a commercial property) Mechanic s Lien Search Commercial/Residential (this product will provide you with a Mechanic s Lien search only) Recordings Residential/Buy-Sell, Commercial, Refinance (to be used if we are only recording documents not providing a search) Recordings with update Residential Buy-Sell (to be used if TitleWave - Creating a New Order 5

6 we are only recording documents for you and updating from your prior search, not providing a search) Recordings Commercial (to be used if we are only handling the recording not providing a search) Tax and legal (we will provide you with copies of the taxes, last deed of record and map) Title Search Report (you will select this product in most cases, this will provide you with a typed search product) Title Search Report Construction Loan (typed title search report for a construction loan Title Search Report with a 24 month chain of title (this will provide you with a typed title search report and 24 month chain of title) UCC Search Local (this will provide you with a local UCC search only) UCC Search State-( this will provide you with a State UCC search only) 24 Month chain of title (this will provide you with a typed 24 month chain of title only) 15. Request product a. If you need to select more than one product (ex: title search report and appurtenant easement search), click on request product and another drop down box will appear to select the additional product. 16. Delete selected a. If you need to delete a product you added, click on the delete box next to the product and then click on delete selected. 17. Due Date a. You can manually enter the due date xx/xx/xxx or click on the calendar and click on the due date and it will auto fill. TitleWave - Creating a New Order 6

8 18. Attach Documents a. To attach any documents with your order you may click on the browse button to search your computer and add them to the order. If you have additional documents, you can add them through your Case Folder once the order is open. 19. Comments a. Click on the comments section and type any additional instructions you have for us or that would aid us in the search. 20. Click submit TitleWave - Creating a New Order 8

9 21. The system will process your order and a window will appear with the TitleWave number assigned to your file. This is your confirmation that the order has been placed. 22. Click OK, this will take you back to the order entry screen. From here you can place another order or log out. TitleWave - Creating a New Order 9
