This two storey dichromatic brick residence is in the style of the picturesque gothic villa and enhanced height bay windows and ornamental carvings in Waurn ponds freestone. The interiors are innovatively detailed, with the iron balustrated staircase, plaster ceilings and billiard room (1874) of great interest. The front fence to Ryrie Street is notable and intact.
