2 ABOUT KLS GIT: Gogte Institute of Technology, the flagship institute of Karnataka Law society was incepted in Spread across a sprawling mango meadow of over 23 acres. GIT houses 08 undergraduate and 08 post graduate disciplines including MBA and MCA programs. GIT has the honour of sheltering over 3500 students and about 200 highly qualified and motivated work force, GIT an affiliate of Visvesvaraya Technological University, also carries the distinction of getting NBA accreditation by AICTE for the second time in succession. A band of research scholars pursue Ph.D and M.Sc (Engineering by research) through approved research centres in all the streams including management studies. Excellent infrastructure areas like FMS with CNC machines and robotics, digital signal processing, high voltage engineering, VLSI, etc. Catered by a full pledged 10/100 MBPS internet with OFC backbone and 10 MBPS leased line internet link and 40 MBPS broadband, 1300 plus computers in the campus make GIT as one of the best destinations for technology. GIT has carved niche for itself through consistently for good results and placements. Further ignition and fostering of entrepreneurial initiatives have led to the flourishment of several leading business managers of national and international repute.

4 About Workshop: Advanced Composite Materials (ACMs) are materials of modern day, used for domestic to astronomical practices includes bucket to rocket applications and these are generally characterized or determined by unusually high strength fibres with unusually high stiffness, or modulus of elasticity characteristics, compared to traditional materials, while bound together by weaker matrices. These are termed advanced composite materials (ACM). The high strength fibers are also low density while occupying a large fraction of the volume. Advanced composites exhibit desirable physical and chemical properties that include light weight coupled with high stiffness (elasticity), and strength along the direction of the reinforcing fiber, dimensional stability, temperature and chemical resistance, flex performance, and relatively easy processing. Advanced composites are replacing metal components in many uses, particularly in the aerospace industry.
