Event Content The IAM international summer school (13th - 25th, August, 2015) is composed of an intensive IAM workshop and a carefully organized architecture trip in Europe. The IAM summer school confronts the participants with design philosophy and method from two leading Dutch architecture offices, provides a highly optimized architecture tour in Europe and the opportunity for the participants to make friends with people from other culture background. The IAM (the Inspirational and Algorithmic Morphogenesis) workshop focuses on architecture design methodology for searching optimal composition of building elements with either intuitive or algorithmic method. While the inspirational method refers to the professional creativity possessed by experienced architect (as provided by cepezed office), the algorithmic method refers to the computational means of automation (as provided by ONL). Each architecture firm will provide a recent finished project as the training study case. Practicing architects from both companies will present in- depth illustrations on why and how the case study projects are shaped in that particular way. Based on such knowledge, the participants shall work in small groups to reproduce the case study design under the supervision of the architects. 1

3 The architecture trip commences right after the IAM workshop. Participants will be guided to a series of classical modern architecture through Europe in a highly optimized private bus trip. The architecture trip visits Milan (airplane from Amsterdam), Como, Basel, Stuttgart, Koln and Dusseldorf. Selected destinations include, the Rietveld Schröder House, Architecture tour in Como, Vitra Museum, Chapel of Notre Dame du Haut at Ron- champ, Porsche museum, Mercedes- Benz Museum, Kolumba museum and Homberich museum. 3. Event Regulations 3.1 The organizer reserves the right to stop this agreement if the participant s misbehavior heavily disturbs the tutor, other participants and the event as large. In this case, the participant takes full responsibility for all consequences. 3.2 The participant takes full responsibility for his/her own misbehavior that may cause legal and/or financial consequences during the entire event. 3.3 The registration fee for the IAM workshop covers workshop bench fee, 2 days private bus trip in the Netherlands and tour guide. Participant shall arrange his/her own accommodation for the workshop period. 3.4 The registration fee for the architecture tour covers the following: air ticket (Amsterdam- Milan), private bus trip in Europe, tour guide, 7 nights 3star hotel room (shared by two persons), breakfast (lunch, dinner paid by the participants), tickets for the attractions and guided architecture tour cost in Como. 3.5 The organizer is responsible for providing the event content as manifested in this agreement and the attached event program. In case of accident or emergence (natural disaster, strike, war, etc.), the organizer is allowed to discuss with the participants and make necessary changes to the program. 3.6 The organizer has the right to record the entire event for its future publication and commercial promotion. The methods of recording includes: audio/video record, photograph and written reports. 4 Registration and Payment Please fill in your name, passport Number and select the type of registration in the first page. A confirmation will be sent to the participant after the organizer successfully receives both this registration form and payment. 5 Cancelation and Changes 5.1 In case of emergent situation presents before the event commence (such as natural disaster, war, strike etc.), the organizer and the participant shall discuss the cancellation or delay of the event. If canceled, the organizer pays back the remaining registration fee to the participant (deducted by the cost already made, such as air ticket, hotel reservation etc.) 5.2 In case of emergent situation presents in the event (such as traffic jam, flight delay, unexpected closing of visiting attractions, etc.), the organizer is allowed to modify the program accordingly. 5.3 The participant pays 40% of the registration fee if he/her has to terminate this agreement before 13th of July The participant pays 80% of the registration fee if he/her has to terminate this agreement between the 13th of July and 6th of Aug The participant pays the full amount of the registration if he/her has to terminate this agreement after the 6th of Aug If the event is canceled due to the organizer own mistake, the organizer pays back the full amount of registration fee to the participant. 5.7 If the organizer failed with providing part of the event content by its own mistake, the organizer is obliged to provide alternative services as compensation.
