X 8487 Cope-Stone London 03 Nov Mar The Cope-Stone Chapter No 8487 (London) was consecrated on the 31 March 1949 as the Tranquillus Chapter, No By 1983 the chapter started to consider its closure due to a lack of members but in December 1983 a proposal was made that the chapter should be detached from Tranquillus Lodge and attached to Cope-Stone Lodge. This proposal was accepted and on the 7 September 1984 the chapter held its first meeting under the sponsorship of the Cope-Stone Lodge. To reflect the change the chapter was renamed the Cope-Stone Chapter, No In 2002 the membership of the chapter fell to just six and it was decided that the chapter should close.
