RESEARCH AND COURSEWORK AT ASU Phoenix Urban Form, research with Professor Dan Hoffman Member of the ASU research team that worked directly with the local architectural/sustainability consultant Studio Ma on a team led by Dyett and Bhatia of San Francisco providing sustainability and outdoor comfort CFD computer simulation studies. This twoyear research effort's goal was to establish a sustainable new zoning code for the Phoenix downtown core urban area. This research process was later formalized into a series of recommendations and published by the City of Phoenix. These recommendations were used to create City policy documents and were encoded in Chapter 12 of the city zoning code adopted by the City Council in 2010.
