Notes for Nathan Elwood: General Notes: Farmer (1870 census). Hannah (Age 74) living with them in Picture from Red photo album Lived next store to William V Elwood John (B 1830) living with them. Since Nathan is burried next to Hannah V. Elwood (Wife of Grumman Elwood) and since John T Elwood lived with them, it is believed he was a child of Grumman Elwood. (John T Elwood (D 17 Aug 1906) listed as son of Grummand Elwood and Hannah Vernold Phebe Dann is the daughter of Ebenezer Dann and Serepta Goodrich. She was born on 25 Jun 1824 in New York, USA [2]. Her death on 10 Jul 1911 (Downsville NY) [9, 10]. Notes for Phebe Dann: General Notes: Living with George B. Elwood during 1910 census census indicates she had 6 children, all lived to adulthood. Elwood: General Notes: 2 Oct 1881 = John Fallon of Cooks Falls married Hannah Elwood in Downsville (See the Walton Chronicle, Oct 1881) = According to Downsville town records, John Fallon married Hannah S. Elwood. Apr 1887 = John Fallon of Downsville dies in a train accident returning from his uncle in Forest City. (Died at the mountain house in Starrucca, Pa) (See the New Milford Advertiser, 25 April 1887)[See also Binghamton, NY paper around the same time.] 18 Oct 1890 = Mrs. Hanna S. Fallon marries John Bonner. Both listed of Forest City. (See Marriage certificate and Montrose Democrat). THe pastor and his relative appear to be the witnesses census gives her age as 63. She was living with Leo E. Fallon & family. Census lists all children surname Fallon. Marjorie Kearney Kerrigan had in her possesion a photo album of Elwoods which included Grummon Elwood at the beginning. In addition, she recollected visiting the Elwood farm in Downsville, New York. 17 Jan 1972 = Genevieve Fallon Kearney s death. Mother listed as Hannah Bonner and father listed as Leo Fallon by James Kerrigan. However, he may not have known the family history, and he associated her with the Bonner family in Lenox, Pennsylvania. Also note that the gravestones in Lenox give differnt birth dates than the census for Hannah and children. Elwood Fallon lived in New Milford Pa, in Hannah was a school teacher (1870 census) John Fallon is the son of? Fallon and Bridget[24]. He was born 1855 in New York, USA[24]. He died on 19 Apr 1887 in Starrucca, Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA [25, 26, 27, 28]. Buried on 24 Apr 1887 in St. Pauls Church. Starruca, Pa. [29].
