2 To whom it may concern, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and give a brief description of my background and abilities. I am currently licensed as an architect in state of Washington. My career has evolved from working as a draftsman on the board, to being the staff architect for a general contracting firm that specialized in design build of government projects. I was responsible for establishing the documentation standards, overall design and supervision of the drafting team. Projects included school renovations, military housing, and administration buildings. I have operated my own architectural practice in Hawaii where I was responsible for marketing, negotiating contracts, developing the design, working with consultants, creating the construction documents, and processing those documents through the building department. My experience and knowledge in designing with Autodesk products, including AutoCAD, Revit, and 3d Studio will provide a valuable asset to your firm. I began using AutoCAD in 1987 with Release 9, while attending the University of Hawaii. Through the years I continually kept current with the software and upgrades. In 2006, while living in Hawaii, I began utilizing Revit as my primary design tool in my architectural practice. Over the past few years I have been doing contract work for various architects and designers, keeping my skill level in both Revit and AutoCAD sharp. I am able and willing to travel when needed. 3 RESUME FOR: Raymond L. Avis Phone: (541) SUMMARY The software that I am currently using is Autodesk Revit Architecture 2014, AutoCAD 2014 and Autodesk 3ds Max. My background in the architectural field began as a draftsman and I progressively moved up to project management. I began to utilize AutoCAD as a drafting/design tool. Through the years, I have developed a high level of proficiency using the computer in my design work. My recent projects have included Elite Care (Residential Care Facility), Ko Olina Resort, Oahu, Hawaii (Luxury Condominiums), Waialua Wai Villages, Oahu, Hawaii (Condominium Development), and others listed on the Project List. 8 Country House These drawings were used as a proposal for a new residence just outside of the city limits of Corvallis Oregon. The budget was $500,000 for an approximate size at $200 per square foot of 2,500 square foot. The drawings and renderings were done in Revit.

Musil, Perkowitz and Ruth were the architects of record. Prototype AutoCAD files were furnished by Office Depot. There was a thirty day time frame to complete the project and submit it to the building department. When this project was given to the project team that I was on, I was in the capacity of job captain. The team had just completed a shopping center project, so the drafters were reassigned to other groups. The project manager had just left the company to do missionary work. I was the only person left in the group to work on the project. With briefings from the principals, I coordinated with the consultants and completed the project in less than the thirty day deadline.

10 Elite Care Facility, Oatfield Estates, Milwaukie, Oregon Elite Care is an assisted living facility that uses sensors throughout the units to monitor the residents. Family can monitor the status of their loved over the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This building is modular construction, built with wood stud framing in a factory in Aumsville, Oregon. All mechanical, electrical and plumbing was installed at the factory and interconnected on site. The individual modules were trucked from the factory to the construction site and set on the foundation with a crane. The modules were stacked to three stories. The architect of record was Ross Farland of Dezine Works. The drawings were created in Revit.

11 Watermark Sales Office, Honolulu, Hawaii Avis Associates subcontracted this project through Architects Hawaii. This is intended to be a temporary building, to be removed from the site when all units are sold. To keep costs down, the center portion of the structure is wood frame, and the two sides are a converted construction trailer. The drawings were created in AutoCAD.

12 International Pavilion at Conference These images are samples of a project that I have recently finished. This portion of the project is the international pavilions of a conference for a major software developer to be held in July. The client is an internationally renowned firm that produces conventions and exhibits. This conference is being used by the client to set up the documentation standards to be used in future events.
