The American Institute of Architects The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is the professional society of architects. Since 1857, the Institute has been bringing architects together to advance the value of architects and the profession, and to increase living standards through improvements to the built environment. The American Institute of Architects meets these challenges through education, research, lobbying and professional networks. It represents 84,163 members through its national office in Washington, D.C. and nearly 300 state and local components. AIA Eastern New York AIA Eastern New York, chartered by the American Institute of Architects in 1930 and incorporated in 1956, is the local professional society for architects. AIA Eastern New York serves as the link between local professional architects, AIA National, AIA New York State and the public. As a Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, our objective is to promote the value of local architects, to advance the architectural profession through improvements to the built environment and to serve the public. 2

4 2018 Event Sponsorship Annual Design Awards 2018 Reception & Ceremony The Design Awards are a local awards program intended to honor the design accomplishments of our members, highlight the excellence of their creations and bestow upon them the much deserved recognition for their remarkable contributions to the built environment. The awards will be presented to our member architects at our annual Design Awards Reception and Ceremony on March 21, 2018 at The Arts Center on River Street in Troy, NY. The event will be held from 6-8 PM, and will consist of a cocktail hour reception with lite fare and wine bar, followed by the awards presentation ceremony. The cocktail hour reception is open to the public, and the media will be invited to cover the event. Don t miss this opportunity to mingle with our members and support their accomplishments.
